hi everyone, nice to see you're all progressing well with your projects. i'm not, there's just too much on and i'm too stressed.
yesterday family brevement + having to write the 'here's why my job is valuable to you so please dont make me redundant' document = a pretty horrid day. at least it was a no spend day.
in other news, a car crashed into the end of our terrace early this morning. very luckily no-one was hurt, apart from a silver birch tree. garden walls stopped the car so the houses are hopefully ok. the driver was eastern european, 3 times over the limit and un-insured
we're lucky that the damage stopped 2 houses down from us, but i feel aweful for our neighbours having to fork out for someone elses careless attitute to buying insurance, drink driving and failing to stop at a mini roundabout. the driver couldnt have cared less - saying "it's my birthday and its only a wall"
so after being awake half the night i'm feeling totally shattered today so think i have to cancel long standing plans to go out later. but at least i'll save a few quid by doing so. and hopefully do some to my Lemon Bowl to help me calm down.
Posting - he's lovely!
hope everyone else is a bit more chipper than me. have a nice weekend everyone. xRelax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Frugal Living Challenger. No buying cleaning products. I used MSE advice to reduce my car insurance from 550 to 325!! & paid it off in full!!!0 -
What a horrible day 23rd. Some drivers don't give a rat's bum, do they? I hope your letter-writing goes okay and that it has the desired effect xox0

I stitched intials onto them one year for Christmas presents and they were okay...to be honest I am not sure if they would hold a full design without sagging, but for 90p you could maybe order one and see.;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0 -

I also get threads from a seller on ebay called westbbc she does 5 dmc ones for £ 2.30 and post free and they deliver really quick . Handy when i run out or just want the odd one . they do bigger quantities too.
Thanks for this recommendation, have added them to my favourite sellers. I rarely buy skeins but will need to do so this week because the small stash of colours I had that I am using for the sampler has nearly gone. For the amount I want to buy they work out slightly cheaper than acrosstown which I must admit surprised me.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

Oooh Thank you for the link we're always looking for stuff to sell for the ear trust .I'm thinking i could stitch some of the disney kits i stitched that were free with mags to the front.
Thats what i did shelly i only needed a couple and it didn't justify ordering loads from acrosstown so i got them from there .Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20

I got Ollie from acrosstown but through ebay
I haven't order any supplies in a long time but back in 09 when I bought most of my skeins for decending alice I used the happy cross stitcher. At the time they had an offer and they worked out as 38p each.
Not stitching tonight, I want an early night so will be off soon0
