    Congrats on passing another milestone lovely! I have a feeling you'll be debt free sooner than later, but I love the fact that you are so organised and setting targets. Fab! :D x

    Cheers Becs! It is nice to know that I will be debt free next year, whenever that may be. Not having to pay out £270 a month will make a big difference!

    Choc, I find I have to be so strict with myself otherwise I just lose track and forget what I should be doing which means I end up going backwards, not what I want to be doing when I am so close to getting rid of it all.

    Am hoping I won't spend anymore than maybe a few pounds until Friday, then I can out £10 towards mums birthday which will help immensley. My friend paid for dinner last night which was really kind of her :)

  • Hey Jody, well done on being sub £4k :j

    You'll be debt free before you know it!

    On a side note, I know you're friends with Woo, her diary seems to have disappeared, is everything ok?

    Hi hun,

    She is ok, she just got a bit overwhelmed with it and needs a litle while to straighten things out. She went away for the weekend as well which is why she hasn't posted but I am sure she said she would still come back and post :)

    Well, I spent £4 on the euromillions last night as I joined two work syndicates and between them they had 26 tickets, add on the 5 that OH bought and we won NOTHING! I can;t believe the jackpot has rolled over again :eek:

    Hopefully wont spend anything else today or tomorrow so total week spend should be £47.08/£60.00. If it stays like that then I will put £10 towards my mums birthday present and a few pounds in my Xmas savings pot.

    Got to go food shopping tonight but have firmly told OH he has to reimburse me as I have bought the last 3 lots!

    Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi There, I have just spent the past couple of days reading over your Diary - All 24 pages of it ;)

    I think you are such an Inspiration...I started reading your Diary because of the Travelling side of it (I absolutely adore travelling as well!!)...And you have inspired me so much.

    I have been really dreadful at sticking to my Plans and haven't paid any of my Debts off in about a Year :eek: And I know I have to just sit down and Call of my Debtors to find out how much I owe and then I can write them all Letters to arrange to make Payments. I tried to go through CCCS but they said that because I was self-empolyed it makes it more difficult and that I would probably be better off doing it on my own :(

    Anyway...I don't want to hi-jack your Thread..and I'm planning on starting my own Diary in the next couple of days...

    I just wanted to say that you are truly an Inspiration and I plan on keeping a close eye on your Diary... :T

    Hi Helen, thanks for dropping by!

    I have been naughty really as I should have been paying the extra towards the debt but at least I have still managed to get the debt down and none of my holidays have gone onto cards or overdrafts etc :). It's a shame CCCS can't help but I will keep fingers crossed that you can come to your own arrangement, definitely make that call and get the ball rolling!

    I find it easier to do this weekly budget, I think if I did it monthly I would spend it all in the first week then be broke!

    Went shopping last night and then took all of OHs money to pay for it :D. It's new budget day tomorrow and I have no plans on spending anything today so hopefully I am £13 up on my budget. I have £45 cash in my purse from OH for the food so I will take £10 out of that towards mums birthday present from this weeks left over money then the £35 will be my spending money for next week plus I will put £25 petrol in the car so that is next weeks budget sorted out.

    I have to drive to London next Tuesday but will be able to claim the mileage so I will come out a little bit up and I also have about £8 of postage to claim back so I will put the money towards littleuns birthday present.

    Starting to worry a bit about next months budget :(. Its madams birthday on the 5th of August and she wants a netbook so I need to make a substantial contribution to it and then it is summer holidays and we have agreed to do a day out a week but by the time we pay for admission and petrol etc I think I am going to exceed budget. Going to see if we can maybe do something free-ish every other week!

    It seems really quite here at the moment, what's going on?!?!

    Yesterday was new weekly budget day so I thought I would do a quick update. Spent quite a bit yesterday, oops;

    Petrol £25
    Euro Millions £4
    Chips £1
    Book for DD's Birthday - £3.69

    Total = £33.69/£60

    Meeting work mate for dinner at Harvester on Monday but that won't be more than £10. Have got really confused with my money recently, when we do a work syndicate I buy the ticket online and they give me cash but one person puts it in my bank and I never know where I stand :o. I won't worry about it too much for now as we only ever do the lotto when it's a big rollover so hopefully someone will win it soon :rotfl:. Had loads of change in my purse so put £10 towards mums birthday, so I now have £25 which is what I will put in her card to cover the garden set she bought. If I save anything extra in the next two weeks I will use it to buy her some flowers :D. Also put another few pounds in my Xmas pot, haven't started counting that yet but might do from August. Change pot is not at £27.40 so it is getting there!
