I think perhaps making myself a little budget to include bus fares, general spending, badminton etc. Having the cash in my wallet would be more motivating as i wont want to see it go down!! xOrange Fairy

Thought I would come in and post my spend details for yesterday....
£1 Chips (It's a friday treat)
£2 for Euromillions syndicate - we won £2.60 :rotfl:
Went to my friends house for a few drinks last night, she is getting married in August so we were talking about her wedding, hen night, honeymoon, m holiday and everything inbetween, at least it was free!
Feel a bit grotty this morning, can't say anything aches or hurts etc but I just feel really tired, that's probably from not sleeping much this week. Might stick some washing on and watch a film on the sofa. Am hoping the weather holds out for picnic with DD tomorrow, the forecast says it will be 22 and sunny so I hope it is right!
Just checked my bank account and the £45 from Quidco has arrived so have transferred that to savings already. I think my savings balance was £506 before I paid the holiday deposits so I will be very happy if I can get it back to that balance this month as that will mean I have saved £220 which is a good start on my new 'path'.
Had a chat with OH about the car situation and leasing one next year. I did a long speech about my car lasting maybe a year and I've said I am going to spend the bare minimum on it just to keep it running. He has agreed that next year we will sort me out a new car and he is happy to put the lease in his name if I don't get approved. We have agreed on a Fiesta Zetec S diesel and he will be happy to drive it and contribute towards the monthly cost so that's a good start. I hated asking him but as we can't use his van for private trips it makes sense for us to have something we can both drive and that is reliable. The current plan is for me to keep my car until March then we will look at getting the Fiesta, also dependant on the finish date of my DMP as when it is finished I will be able to cover the cost of the car and still be better off. It suddenly doesn't seem so far away

Further spend update;
£9.98 on Contact lenses - bit of a pain but has to be done, I didn't realise how few I had left.
£5.10 on Ice Creams and drinks at the park
Also forgot I put £25 petol in the car on friday so up to date total is £43.08/£60.
Going for dinner tomorrow night with my friend but she said she is paying as a treat so hopefully I won't exceed budget this week

How was your day with DD? xDebt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
It was great thanks Becs! The weather was nice so we took a picnic to the park and walked round it, we ended up having a grape throwing fight :rotfl:. We are going to do a day out a week in the summer holidays so not sure how that is going to affect the budget!
Just can't believe it is Monday again already. I spent a few hours last night half asleep but couldn't quite drift off, then I started dreaming about being back in the Maldives which was rather nice. Ho-hum!

Wouldn't that be fab Becs!
Had a horrible headache all day, I think I might have got dehydrated at the park yesterday cos I was too lazy to walk to the drink kiosk.
The other good news is that my DMP payment has cleared my Payplan account although they haven't updated mt debt yet so I will pre-empt them....
Remaining Debt - £3,932.19
I am finally sub £4k :T.
My current savings aim is to save £200 a month and my savings balance today is £326.53. If I can save £200 Jul to Dec then my year end account balance would be around £1,500 which would cover the remaining balance on my holiday of £1,124 and the remaining Safari Balance of £306.40. That would mean whatever I saved from the new year onwards can go towards spending money and debt repayment. I have already said that when I get my bonus I will allocate the same amount as holiday cost to my DMP - £1,657. That should take 6 months off my DMP so it would end in April
Hoping realistically I can save more than this as I am due a payrise in November but no idea yet what it will be!
