Asking a neighbour could be a tricky thing, depending on what kind of relationship you have. I wouldn't ask my neighbour..... But that's another story.
Anyway, glad that OP managed to go to the church and managed to leave a message to SS as dmg24 suggested. Looks like OP won't be left without food if she could go to these places suggested by previous poster. At least something is getting done. Small steps but hey, don't we live by each day...some of us
Money is not the root of all evil.
It depends on how you obtain it and how you use it.

actually my friend was in a very similar situation..she started working as a consultant for slimming world and she kept been passed from pillar to post as they couldnt make their minds up wether it warranted been self employed, JSA kept saying it was tax credits she should've been claiming and vice versa...she went weeks and weeks with no income and a daughter to feed, and the Benefits Agency didn't give a stuff, but she was lucky(ish) as she had her family to lend her money etc..you'd think the staff at the Benefits Agency would know what advice to give, but unfortunately some obviously can't do their job properly or put the ticks in the right boxes(have known quite a few Benefits Agency !!!!-ups this Xmas unfortunately)
Just cos of a couple of you who think this story is false are all snug and warm and stocked up this Xmas, doesn't mean to say there aren't hundreds of people going without out there.x
and no offence intended but if you can at least get SOME cash together, theres plenty of shops open in AShton...as there will be loads of Asian corner shops open....i know i used to live there myself0 -

You both must have different meters than I do, because if the electric runs out well it runs out.jonnyboy82 wrote: »i can confirm that is correct,if your electricity meter runs out of credit in the middle of the night your electric does not turn off until between 9-9.30 am*SIGH*

Earlier in this thread you didn't have family apart from your nan - who you said could not help you . Now you have an 11 year old brother who has lent you his computer .
So where are his parents ? one or both of them must be your parent , why can you not ask them for help ?0 -
my mum has died 3 years ago so no i cant ask her...and i dont think an 11 year old has any money to lend me.
also i'm with Eon but it was the same on Npower0
