Filed for bankruptcy this morning (18/01/2011), terrified does not describe how I was feeling. Bankruptcy order now in hand and already OR has phoned and gone through basic questions. She is doing main interview via telephone on Friday - so no sleep for me then. Wish I wasn't such a worrier.

well done on getting through today...take some deep breaths...
what are you worried about with the interview?
have a pen and paper ready, and a drink, and a copy of your forms if you have one. it's a conversation not an interrogation, and if you don't know the answer just say so. the OR is just doing their job

is there anything specific you're worried about xxxx

Hi Inca and welcome, Dojo will add you to the list.

As Confused says you'll be fine, It's nothing to worry about, its just for the OR to get a feel why you went BR. Before the call just look through your SOA So your familiar with what you said. If you have not sent off your bank/credit statements have them to hand. The OR will just go through your 6.28/SOA with you. Also before the call have a big mug of tea ready or a bottle of water, and while they are writing things down you can have sips of tea/water, so you don't feel you have to fill in the pauses. And if you don’t know the answer to a question just say so. Do have a list with all questions ‘you’ want to ask. Let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes

I went bankrupt on Monday 17th January, something I've been putting off and putting off. Can't say I feel any sense of relief yet, mainly still guilt that it had to come to this. That said, I'm sure there will be brighter days ahead.

I was surprised at how easy the whole process was, I didn't even need to see a judge and the letter confirming the BR was delivered the following day. The conversation with the OR couldn't have been easier as well, she was very helpful and understanding.

Good luck to everyone who's in the same position or considering it. I can confirm that it doesn't hurt as much as you think.
