  • Hi, I'm new to using forums, but really need advice... my boyfriend is now a br...one huge dilemma for us is that he wants to move out the house he lives in now ASAP, it has a morgage charge against it, along with 2 others that leave the property in negative equity.

We are trying to start afresh, his ex has left him in debt up to his eye balls and we want to know, if having been adjudged bankrupt in the last few days, can he move out of the property ASAP and into a rented house (in my name).

We keep being told it can take a while to get sorted, a lot of people are desperate to stay in their homes... we are desperate to leave! We have seen a house that we want to rent which will be avaliable for us end of Jan (I have passed tennancy checks already). Can anybody advise me about this, or has anyone else experienced this situation??

    Thank you.

  • I'm about to join the BR club. I'm terrified of what will happen but hopefully I'll start to get to sleep at night without lying there for hours thinking about the debt.

  • Hello i am a newbie on this board, i have been reading many of the posts in recent months which i do find very informative. It has put our wheels in motion for mine and my husbands BR at the end of January hopefully. We have got a solicitors appt on the 17th January to sort things out and for advice. She does realise however that BR is the way to go for our circumstances. Our solicitor does not have a credit card and does not like the companies behind them.

I will post some new posts soon.....
