Hi all, any advice would be appreciated:
My younger sister has a car, the V5 is registered in my name, we put it in my name for cheaper insurance purposes so that she could be a named driver on my insurance; should I inform put this car on the br forms even though I have absolutely no financial interest in the vehicle?
If I transfer the V5 reg certificate into her name now, I'm worried that this would look dodgy and like I was trying to get rid of an asset.... confused!!
thanks xx0 -

The V5 as it says on it, is not proof of ownership. If you younger sister is the owner she should have a receipt when she bought it, which is proof of ownership.
There are threads on this subject in here somewhere lol and you can check the dvla website. (I had similar problem)Never Give Up hope!0 -

to those doing the deed this month.
New year - fresh start!
The advice you find on here is absolutely invaluable! I recall last May sweating over whether I should go bankrupt or not, and after visiting the CAB and reading up and asking questions on here I realised there really was no alternative.
Life isn't exactly a Disney movie at the moment, but its a hell of a lot nicer going into the first new year in my adult life without having debt hanging over me.
First Christmas/New Year period for five years without having to deal with a nasty letter/phone calls from a bank too!
Good luck to all and everyone for 2011!0 -
