    Morning everyone

Isn't it another beautiful day, no plans to go out unfortunately as the house looks like a hurricane passed through (courtesy of hubby and dd!) So will be getting on with housework, i have that dvd test to watch later and make a list of things to ebay and cake bits to buy. I will do some reviews later, I just keep forgetting.

I keep forgetting this is a money making thread, it seems to be encouraging me to buy lots of lovely things :) Have pre ordered the new hummingbird recipe book too, I figure I have most of the Christmas shopping done now so I deserve a little treat and I have enough in my amazon to cover it. At least I'm being money neutral :p

Well done on the craft stalls gemini, hope it goes well. Well done on your reviews Rufusdog, almost there!

I keep getting screened out of surveys too at the moment, seems like I'm not really getting anywhere.
    Comping wishlist for 2017
    1. Family holiday 2. Christmas presents :rudolf: 3. Fishing stuff

Moneymaking has progressed but I have been busy so havent worked out totals yet. Financially we are no better off as life seems sooo expensive at the moment. Still without the money making it would be worse so I suppose it is progress of a sort..

I was just thinking that. I have cut my shopping right back, I put all the stuff on the conveyer belt, thinking to myself, that will be about 25/30 quid. It was just over the 40.00 There was nothing on there out of the ordinary, or special! its SO Expensive to live!

Morning all! I am still alive and have been dropping in but not posting much and as you can see have been slack on Toluna and other sites! This whole not having a washing machine is killing me! Spent most of yesterdays up the in laws doing washing and spent thursday down my mums doing washing! Grrr you dont realise how much you do until you havent the convenience of bunging it in the machine!

Having real problems with DS recently! Terrible 2's is an understatement! Tantrums and stubborness and hitting and throwing things at you and 'NO' constantly is starting to get me down! Nothing works! Naughty step, removing toys, sent to bed, threats to phone Daddy/Nanny/Grampy/Santa/Police, smacking, shouting, putting him in the garden for the monsters to take him away! Even my best friend is amazed at how defiant he is! She tried the other day to take him in hand but spent a good 45 minutes putting him in his bedroom until he finally said sorry to me! He took his shoes, socks and coat off in town the other day and was even hitting people infront of me when queueing! Everyone is giving me advice but I seem to be running out of options apart from a gag and handcuffs!

Also been selling bits on Facebook and cannot believe I didnt do it before! Off to order a washing machine when DS is in 'school' later as my Mum took out a card in her name fr me to use and then pay it off as 0% on purchases for 12 months! As I have saved a bit I wont have that much to pay off!

Kec sorry to hear about you and OH! I constantly want to throw my OH out and on occassion have told him to go but he wont!!! Haha! Men I agree with Elysia we should rename the thread! They are bloody useless and a few other words I wont use just now! Connor will certainly not grow up to be a man thats for sure! lol
Sorry for the longs post! Hugs to all! xxxx

Anyhow, can someone give some advice on selling on facebook? I do sell on ebay, but sometimes I think that the fees are just to much:eek:

so any hints/tips would be gratefully received, as I am doing a major declutter of the house! thanks :)

Hi Jasper, welcome to the thread, cant really say much about facebook, I have put some pics on mine of things to sell but dont seem to be doing as well as others. Might need to find a local group or something near to where you live and join that?

I have been on loonie for hours this morning doing some opinions etc. Have done everyone who is following me. I have one topic that just has 18 on it so would like to get that up if I can.

Love the cakes, love the hummingbird cookery book and keep forgetting about this thread which I also love!

Another couple of good books for cuppies and cakes are the Primrose Bakery Book and the Magnolia Cafe Book (though if someone could tell me what weight is in a 'stick' of butter I'd be grateful)

Selling on facebook - you need to have a business page - I have one, baked in belfast, but the likers seem to be permanently stuck around the 250 mark so I obviously do something wrong. I have only had one definite direct sale of facebook, compared to loads of ebay, but I do get other sales at fairs etc because people have seen it on the facebook page.

I also agree with the girl at the top of the page - ASDA is definitely the best supermarket for cake decorations, with lots of great offers.
DJWW - cos we won't let it!

Well I am feeling slightly better today so am using my energy to get things ready for ebaying. I didnt have the energy to put them on yesterday I was so ill. I have nearly finished all the descriptions and prices and postage (32 in total!) then just got to take the pictures. Hoping to start listing them at about 6.30. Its been a very long time (over a year!) since I have done any ebaying so looking forward to watching them progress :D. Have some on BINs and some on auction. Think I will set my aim for £200 after fees :D. Half will go twards my Longleat fund (got 135/250 target) and half towards paying off debts :D.

Savvybunny: Oh so jealous you have ordered the new book. You will have to let us know what it is like :D. And post pictures of your makes from it too!

Thank you for your kind words savvy x

Asda had a lot of toppings on slae when I popped in yesterday but couldn't for the life of me find any cake cases! Esmer is right they do have the better range and nicer toppings :)

I have got the tala icing bag which is good but I wanted to have 2 bags so I could do 2 different icings on one batch of cakes without having to wash it all out between, mine own fault for being lazy lol

Here are the ones I made earlier, you can see where I tried to marble the icings together!

Selling on Facebook - I sell via a local Group for our town they only have 400 fans but I have sold a fair bit! I also sell on the local area group too! I put together an album of my things for sale and made it open to everyone so post links to the 2 groups so people look at my album! I also have like 800 friends on Facebook and a few of them have bought stuff from me! Like Connors old clothes and some toys etc! Its worth typing in Free or Cheap and see if any groups come up within your area!
