I was reading a review on the Hummingbird book on Dooyoo the other day - and sorry to put a downer on it everyone - but they were saying it's a good coffee table book, rather then actually cooking from. The reason being, they are for cooking hundreds in a batch and the quantities arn't the same for when you only make ten for instance. If I remember rightly, the carrot cake (my favourite) was perfect but cupcakes were not succesful despite following the recipe to the letter, not just once, but on several occasions.

    Here is the review.

I must admit I do love the cookbook though. I may buy it myself and if it's no good, I can pass it on to my sister ;)

Legend - well done on the washing machine hun - hurry up and buy one - (don't forget quidco) I'd be lost without mine. I must do four loads a day and there's only 4 of us.

Hiya smokie and Jasper - you're are most welcome to join in anytime.

Jasper - I have friends how have both business's and post stuff on their own page. The one's with the business's do do better, but you have to be out there and promoting your own stuff. Could you have a mass sort out and do a Carboot? Less in the way of fees to pay then, and get's it all over and done with in a morning.

I've been on T most of the morning and got around half of you - will do the other half later on. Didn't get one survey from them today but I did get lucky and I've done a few on Mysury. I received my DVD to watch but I'll do that later - I've watched the Utube clips already.

I had to email Onepolly as I still hadn't received my payment, so I received that this morning. :D

DD2 off school, but well enough to go in tomorrow. :)

    Hi everyone

I have some exciting news, I received the letter of confirmation today, I have been accepted onto my course all paid up and jjust awaiting course materials :j Yippee, I'm officially a student :D

I also managed to redeem on IPS and shopnscan, dd has been a grouchy bum today so not had any time for money making really.

Thanks Elysia, I read a few bad reviews of people who had the first addition as they put the wrong quantities in the ingredients for some of the recipes and buying the wrong sized cupcake cases, overfilling the cases etc, but on hummingbirds website you can download a .pdf of the correct measurements and most reviews say the had no problems. To tell the truth, I only wanted the new book when I visted their website, they showcased some of the recipes from the new book, they had apple crumble cupcakes and some amazeballs tiramisu cupcakes which look absolutely amazing.

Need to get on and watch that DVD, thanks for the reminder hun and well done with onepolly. Glad to hear dd is feeling much better now too.

Hope everyone is having a good day :)

Oh no Kirsty - So sorry to hear that. You'll best get writing and saving the reviews in Word asap. ;)

Savvy - WELL DONE HUN. Woohoo - apply for your NUS card as soon as you can. I going to miss DD1's. She has a code applied to Amzon and we get a discount on everything we buy :D

Rufus - T said I copied and pasted some of the polls I did and they removed them - I have NEVER done that at all. I reckon they are cutting down on things. I posted about ten polls this morning and they removed 7.

Toothfairy - I think they send you a code when they accept you. I've applied but not heard nothing yet. :(

It's lovely to hear from you Stressed - don't worry about the challenges, but please post when you can. It's great to here you're OK.

Well it all got worse! Ordered a washing machine whilst DS was in creche would have only made £4ish going through Quidco so went instore and used some vouchers instead!
Anyways DS gets home from creche fine but in half hour he has detiorated and has a temp but is 'freezing cold' I gave him calpol and he had a nap but still high temp by the time I went to Tesco and back to get ibuprofen his temp hit 39.8!!! Wouldnt eat or drink anything either! So off up hospital to out of hours and Dr says he has red raw tonsils but no spots yet! Bloody tonsilitis again when he only had it 2 weeks ago! By Jesus¬!!!
So looks like a night of hell for me cos hes terrible through the night when hes bad! OH will be kicked into DS's bed and I will have him in with me! So havent done anything all afternoon and nowt this evening!

LegendMum : Oh so sorry to hear DS is bad :( Hopefully the night wont be too bad for him, and in turn not too bad for you. It must be awful for you when a child is ill. If he has had it so soon again will they look in to taking them out? I have never had had tonsils nor have any of my family so not sure on how this works.

Well I managed to do it and listed 32 items on ebay tonight. Now the challenge is to not check it every 5 minutes haha a handful are on BINs because they are BNWT so I prefer just listing these as a BIN below the retail price, but the majority are auctions on a 10 day listing. Dad got me some boxes so after I have watched One Born Every Minute I think I will go make the boxes up and then put some of the stuff I sorted for a car boot in to them ready to go.
