Hello to the newbies
welcome to the family.
Elysia - hope your mum takes some help now, she has to realise that she is just being stubborn if she accepts no help. hugs to you all.
Mary - hope you get help soon, great that you did some crafting today, I have not done a thing since xmas.
Welldone on all the bargains people have been finding, im in the same opinion as elysia, the stores have not been great. I will pop into boots tomorrow, and see if there is anything worth getting.

Plus I have just uploaded 2 pictures to my blog :j one was of the purses and scarves I made for 2010 presents and my mums scarf I just made from ribbon yarn. Now to get on with card making and my charity knitting once this cough has shifted.:(0 -
Mary - good on you, Ms Positive!
elysia - lots of love to your mum! Hopefully she'll realise the need for the chair - she'll be independant again in no time with the help of the chair! (To a certain extent anyway!)
happycrafter - you now have a stalker! lol I've just added some more pics to my blog too - cakes I made last year!
Can anyone make any suggestions about what I could use as the basis for my advent calendar hanging? I'm going to use felt for the pockets and decorations, and WAS thinking of using felt for the main structure, but felt can sometime stretch and go a bit out of shape can't it? Any thoughts??

What about material, but put in the (cant remember the name) in the middle. Same stuff people are using for the crayon rolls. It will make it stiffer.Saving 2.00 coinsGrocerys set to 40.00 pwBeing Thrifty0

sorry a bit delayed but i've been doing this on word and thinking really hard.
stepmum, georgiegirl, yes i was sent to a councelling and the young lass said.. 'now what do you think the problem is?' grrrrr if i knew that i wouldnt be here. thanx for the hugs
mummyslittleboy "I still have bad days but just try and let it go now, although mentally i get cross with myself as there is so much i need to do but just can't be bothered, and i have wasted the day doing nothing" .....thats exactly rite
susan, happycrafter, thanx, yes some people have said that to me before i went to the docs and i refused to admit it, and afterwards it was 'about time' . i suppose i was expecting a cure, now i've accepted it and on meds, erm nothing is different, maybe thats whats wrong, it took me a long time to get the courage to go see the doc and admit it and accept help, nothing has changed if you know what i mean, sort of a big let down.
i'll have a look thro those books thanx
cdsmiler, thanx for the hugs
ddraig, mum2one, thankyou so very much, i dont really know the root of the problem,
my divorce (6yrs ago) he left me for a young thing, two yrs older than our eldest daughter. after being together for 14yrs, he really messed with my head for about half a year saying that he would stay etc, i loved him so much i just clung on as long as i could.
kids leaving home, the way they did it messed up our benefits and really struggled with the change finatially, 3 leaving home in a yr drastically changed the way we lived and what we could pay.
debts, i've been terrible over the last few yrs, since the kids left and money has changed and now i just bury my head, keep the doors locked, curtains closed etc i just cant deal with them, when OH gets up he opens curtains etc and i say well if your gonna do that i'm not here if someone comes to the door. my solicitor wants me to go bankrupt, after three yrs i still havent done it yet.
partner cant get a job, after i think 10yrs on the sick/ incapacity benefit, they've put him on job seekers since about 2007 and is trying to get a job, doing everything they tell him, going for all the new training ideas etc
i dont want one (job) (at the min), i couldnt handle it and i definatly dont want to be the main income earner, i dont think i could handle the pressure of that. dont get me wrong, i have always worked, but i've always had the second job and i've always worked around my kids, always been there for them no matter what.
mum being the way she is now (lost my best friend there)
all this and i have a flu/cold, bad throat, really bad headaches, feeling really poorly, and i think i've just come down with a tummy bug last night so feeling sick and even weaker, (if thats possible)
grrrrr whats that about raining and pouring, grrrr i've had enough!! well anyway, got appointment at the doctors this afternoon, so i am going to ask him about the meds and see if they need changing.
i'll get back to you all later, sorry for the long post and moaning so much. and thankyou for listening.

Lol, that's like a secret code!!! Do you mean almost make the main part like a quilt? Or something completley different? Thanks hun.
Milla - you moan all you want!!!!! Writing everything out like that is therapy in itself and BOUND to help, even if it's just a little weight falling off a shoulder!! MORE big hugs (or cwtches - cuddly hugs - as we say in Wales!!).

((HUGE HUGS))
hang in there if you dont feel any change in how your feeling you need to change your meds that is what my doc said to me when I felt the same way.
my memory goes when I have my bad days simple words suddenly disappear from my head yesterday the word was wedges and they were sitting in front of me on my plate! I get fustrated a lot with myself (memory loss, no get up and go, easily confused) its hard to deal with.
I can never say I had depression like people say I had a cold or I had flu, I always say I have depression and dealing with it one day at a time.0 -

Yay my first stalker!!!
those purses were made from Kits I bought at hobbycarft material was already cut out and holes already punched through to sew I think they cost £2.50 each for everything.0 -
Restricted and Happy crafter - hugs to you both. I hope the doc is able to do something to make things easier restricted. I've been lucky I suppose. I've been through tough times, but I've been OK. I really hope you feel better soon. You moan all you like - like Clare says, sometimes you feel better even just writing it down.
Happy -stalker number 3 here. I need to get through our marmalade hoard before I make any more. Did you use the recipe Fedup posted?
Fedup and everyone doing OU or any studies. I hope you are doing well and that 'real life' doesn't get in the way too much.
Clare - I think it could either be wadding but that would be padded like quilts or interfacing - that stiffens the material a bit, and you usually iron it on. The interfacing is most likely to be the one Esmer means.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!
