hey guys, not sure if you remember me from the start of last year, kinda drifted away i'm afraid to say. Have since split from my oh at the time and found a new one lol who comes with a whole host of problems but is so worth it (am a very smitten kitten hehe) have also had a promotion at work and seen my mother get married and my grandfather recover from cancer. However in the midst of all this i neglected my thrifty gifty ways, slap my wrists! Bring on 2011

Hi ya  I remember you, nice to see you back again, sounds like you have had a busy time, Rufus xx
  • Hi all,
Just caught up with all the posts, spent the whole morning reading!!

Had my M&S bits delivered, cards, new christmas stockings for next year as ours have had it, few little Tatty Ted toiletry gifts for my DD. Pleased with them. Also had my Body Shop order delivered so another few girly gifts ticked off for through the year.

Brought all my special cards for jan and feb, going to write them and wrap pressies this week as they are all done, got my DDs 6th Birthday next week.

Ordered some mugs and pens for Mothers day for my Mum and MIL from the kids from VistaPrint. They will go lovley with the Baileys sets i brought from BHS. Also ordered some senders address labels for my ebay bits on the money making thread as well as a Birthday Banner for my DH 40th in March.

    Hugs to all

Well I have a good week for presents, or should I say all my sale parcels arrived!! I had new look hair bits for my sister, port glasses for my dad and a friends oh. Also 2 gifts for my neices but for christmas 2012

I also had my twins birthday present arrive. dd wanted a talking doll which Mum and Dad are now getting as when ds saw a chuggington interactive track and trains they both wanted it. So we have got it between them. Bonus was it cost £51 with p+p, I had vouchers for £40 so I only had to pay £11 and got £2.04 with quidco so only cost me £8.96 cash :j It would have been neutral as I had a £10 tesco giftcard but it wouldn't accept it and was told by tesco they are having trouble with online usage of them at the moment. More than happy though and will just use card another time for someone elses gift.

Hope everyone else is having a productive start to the week.

    xx

    Hello all :j
Put my 'positive' hat on this morning, loaded up my walking frame with card making stuff and made 3 cards -not much I know but it gets my brain thinking about other things. Made a thankyou card for the hospital, a card for my son (he's tutor at art collage and he'll be pleased I'm making an effort instead of dwelling on the doom and gloom of not walking. The other's just a spare........bound to be a birthday or something I'll need it for.
Might try a button necklace tomorrow..........see how I feel.
Can't see me going out shopping in the near future and thinking about it I must have enough stuff kicking about the house to recycle for other folk..........good chance for a clear out as well. Have to wait till cleaning girl comes and she'll give me a hand -well more like me pointing and she does it, bless her. I can't get up and down the stairs to put stuff in my spare room so no point in ordering anything to fill it -least not at the minute.
So, on the plus side, it'll be a very cheap christmas (just what I'd planned for):)

I think I signed up to here at the beginning of the year but have not posted for a while.

Big hugs to all those who need them. smiley-hug006.gif

I'm very pleased with some of my purchases today. Nipped into Wilkinsons and got quite a few bits and pieces. Bought a 5 year gardening diary for my mother-in-laws birthday this month which cost a whopping 49p! :j

I also got some crackers for next year that cost 41p,
    Christmas Tablecloth = 37p
    Glitter paints = 24p
    Lavendar bath set = 54p
    Ipod speakers = 98p
Art sets for children = 35p

Spent about £5 but saved loads! Will sit and figure it all out.

I really need to sort through what I have got and update my folder so that I know what I have for whom and then I will not duplicate buy as I did last year.

Have just got the rest of my wool to finish my patch work blanket for the new baby and I hope to finish that this month.

Hi all - I've finally caught up again.

OH was off last week, only went back to work yesterday, and today was his day off! Grrrrrrrr I can't do anything with him at home.

Crisis here at mo. Not us, but my Mum. She disabled, needs to use a wheelchair but won't. She's quite independant though, and can get about because she CAN drive. Not anymore. She's very badly damaged her good (if good is the right word - let's say better) knee - so now she is imobile, and can't make it up or down stairs or stand, or do anything. :(

I have a feeling the 75% off in Boots will be tomorrow - it's usually on a Wednesday, and today in Boots they were putting out all off the remaining stock. I think they dragged everything out of the stock room possible. I went to Birmingham City Centre and this was not just in the one store, but both of them. I didn't buy anything at all. The sales this year, are rubbish by us. I have managed to get a few things here and there, but nothing like last year.

Well done to the Newbies for joining in again - I hope you join in often, because the more the merrier. We're like a family on here, it's great.

Mum2one - incase I don't pop back, Good luck for the hearing. I hope everything goes OK, and I'll be thinking of you. If you need anyone to talk to just shout!
