For the adults in the family Im making some fudge, buying cheapo jelly babies, liqurice and making some homemade cookies and putting them all in cellophane bags which i have decorated with xmasy sequins and tying them with a xmasy bow for all grandparents and adults in the family. they will also get a picture of our son in a nice frame.

My cousins will also get a little bag of fudge and some home made cookes miniture to the adults and some jelly babies.

We need as much money as possible, so we cant afford lavish gifts last year was similar i made all the females body scrubs and they are still using them and say when theyve shaved their legs they are unbelievebly smooth.

One of the final presents arrived today - PS3 game.

Still waiting for the bath salt and scrubs to arrive - half stuff here and one lot has gone missing and being chased up and the rest is on the way.

Then next weekend I'll have a look for the pjs and comfies or towels and I think I'm nearly done apart from food gifts

We're off on our travels tomorrow! Wee Beastling and I are leaving my Husbeast to wrangle the kitchen builders and we are off to the UK :D :j

I have an enormous list of stuff to do today so busy busy. But once these last bits are done I think we're just about ready for Christmas. Except the bit where we replace and then unpack the kitchen, buy and decorate a tree, do the grocery shopping and finalise our Festival of Leftovers party. Eeep!

    Hello all :j
Everyone seems so organised...........think I'm about there (I keep saying that) but still need to wrap my friends bits and bobs up.
Parcels I posted to youngest son and his girlfriend on Thursday arrived yesterday but postman just shoved a card in the door..........didn't knock so he found the card on his way out. But at least they're there. He's moving next weekend so I didn't want them to arrive at the wrong address.
Other sons stuff ordered from amazon -used the gift wrap service and had them delivered in case the weather turns and he doesn't make it up here on 22nd. He's not staying, just couple of days visit.

Builder coming tomorrow to finish off a few bits and I might have a downstairs loo by the weekend:T (I say might !!)

    Hope you're all ok:)

Hope the Loo comes off ok Mary and glad you are nearly finished.

We bought some decorations for our small tree in the front garden and I mended the wreath with my glue gun. Took me about half an hour to work out how to use it first and that was with the directions on the back of the packet.

OH bought his pork and gammon today for Christmas dinner. You should see how much meat he has bought and its only really him who will eat it as I dont eat meat at all and YD isnt that much of a meat eater. He has a three bird roast, plus the two large sized joints he bought today.

I managed to get the tin of beansprouts I have been wanting for Son's Thai hamper for ages. I wanted a couple of bottles of Thai beer too but the small Mr S we went to today didnt stock it so we will have to go to the larger one when OH will take me.

Son's GF was taken into hospital this morning for checks, their baby is due tomorrow and she woke up with her face hands and feet all swollen. She has been on a monitor all day checking the baby's heart beat but they sent her home a couple of hours ago. I said to OH, she will just get home and they will be going back up there again, and then Son knocked (we had looked after GS for the day) to pick him up and said she was having little contractions already so hopefully something will move soon and they can get it over and done with.

    Hello All,

I had a christmassy weekend, we made shortbread, and its nearly all gone ;-) We went to see Santa, and we put our tree up. I now have a very hyper little girl who thinks santa is coming NOW. We woke to LOADs of the white stuff and it all looks rather christmassy. Did take me over 2 hrs to get to nursery and back again :( I think I will be leaving at 3pm and get DD early.

hope you are all well. :)

    Hello all :j

Yippee.........!!! We have a downstairs loo !!:T:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Just needs plumbing in now.........lol But with it sat there in its little cubicle I think I just might be sorted by Christmas.............lol

Wrapped up stuff to post to eldest son and his family in case they don't make it on the 22nd (depending on weather and remembering last year !)

esmer I remember you last year with all that snow..........it went on and on and on..........thats when OH slipped on the ice and broke his pelvis..........seemed to be the start of a nasty 12 months ahead.............fingers and everything else crossed that the next 12 months are a bit different.

Have a minor panic............eldest son says his girlfriend wants some foot scrub.......well I've googled all over the place.......I can find some nice foot care stuff -some with scrub some not, some fair price and some not ! Need to find somewhere that'll gift wrap it so I can get it delivered straight to her. I know amazon do but don't know of anywhere else.
Oh eck...............ain't there always something !
Still, I stuck stamps on all my cards and found I have three more to make !! Thought I only needed to make one  Oh dear where is my brain.............lol

Hope you're ok and keeping warm:)
