Sounds like a lovely hamper Mum2one, well done on finding everything to go together xxx

I finished decorating our tree yesterday so its all up and running now. The place looks lovely especially our new front room. My brother lent us his steam carpet cleaner yesterday so OH is going to give the dining room rug a go over at the weekend and see if it will come up a bit better. Its not that old but the dog is left in that room when we go out and it has got a bit dirty around the edges.

I had a £10 Amazon voucher last week and ordered OH a new hair trimmer, he likes to shave his hair off for the bald look. He likes the battery ones and can sometimes pick them up in the 99p shop but they dont seem to last long and then he cant find them in stock again for ages so I got him a Wahl one, was only £8 and its battery run. I still want to get him some more little bits and pieces, I think I might get some car cleaning stuff for him, not sure whether to get them in Wilkinson or may be Asda or one of them, especially if I can find a free delivery for new customer code somewhere.

    Hello all :j
From a slow start I'm really getting on.............lol
Posted youngest sons stuff off today as he's moving in a couple of weeks (he hopes) but not exactly sure of the date so thought I'd post early so he's got them to take with him.
Eldest son has told me what grandson wants -some Mario game for the wii, he just wants a Beatles Calendar and says to get some foot scrub stuff for his girlfriend so I'll have a look on amazon I think. They gift wrap as well so I can get them delivered all ready. They're hoping to come up to see us on 22nd weather permitting bearing in mind last years snow ! So, best to get them sent to be on the safe side.

Had a little look at out market today and found a fabric stall selling loads of offcuts.........could have spent hours there..............and pounds !!!
I finished off with just one pack all neatly tied in ribbon (I can re-use that) and I got some ribbon from the stall thinking of 'fabric hearts' -but they're almost cushion size pieces so need some ideas of something else as well.............I've got 4 altogether.
rufus --you're the sewing person on here.......any ideas (bearing in mind I have to do it by hand)

OH wasn't too good yesterday but thankfully much better today.

    Hope you're all ok:)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

I'm not sure Mary, I get most of my ideas just by looking at the fabric and thinking what it would look nice as. How about using them to cover notebooks like you used to do with the paper? Or may be a rag doll type of thing?

    Hi ladies

only a quickie as about to go out, Mary, the fabric, at the craft fair the other week I picked up some fabric coasters, spices in between the layers so the coasters have a nice aroma with a hot drink on them.

Hello Ladies. Long time no speak. I am popping on and off during the christmas period.

esmer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good to see you!!! :)

Rufus - Hope YD's toe is mending well!

Sugarspun - need to do a weekly list like yours I think. Got Xmas do tonight, then working in a Murder Mystery tomorrow, so once tree is up Sunday I'll sit down and work out what else is happening in the coming weeks!!

mary - you're doing fab, especially considering the year you've had!!

Angela - Fair enough re: the pressie you're making! lol Made me think about the stuff in my freezer.... think I might need to throw away some old blackberries.

mum2one - you must have writers cramp!!

Pressies pretty much all bought. Got a large order sat in my basket in Amazon ready to be ordered. Holding off as I'm pretty sure I'm due a few Amazon vouchers, but I don't know when they'll be ready...so I'm currently juggling whether I should just go ahead and order (to reduce the risk of delayed/late deliveries or things being out of stock) or hold out a little longer.

    Wrapping soon! Love that bit.

Attended a cake decorating workshop last Saturday. Have since spent £25 on stuff from Lakeland. Whoops. hehe

Lovely present for the 1st Dec - DD has chicken pox!!! lol Knew it was coming. It's been going around th echildminders for about 6 weeks! She's the last but one to get it. So far she's coping great. You wouldn't know anything was wrong with her if it wasn't for the spots!!

    Right, challenges:

    Santas Challenge - Nov

    More a re-cap to start,

    Prescriptions - NA

    Doctors Appointment - NA

First Aid Kit - Think we're sorted on this one.

Batteries - Definately need to do this. Need to check what we need for the pressies we know about, and get some spares.

    Candles - Got some

    Cleaning

Fridge - Need to sort fridge a little. Freezer ram jam, but fridge will need space for the Turkey crown.

Double Check where you are for Xmas, and New Year. - Done.

    You
We have all worked really hard this year... - This Sunday we're putting tree up and then having a relaxing afternoon watching a christmas movie, eating cookies, and drinking hot choc!

Christmas Eve - Already made and frozen the stuffing and sausages wrapped in bacon. Will see if in-laws need any jobs doing on Xmas eve itself.

    Santas Challenge December

Christmas Day - List - Will have a notebook to write down who's given DD what for thank you notes!!!!

Rubbish - cards always reused for gift tags!!

    Father Christmas
Don't forget Father Christmas, with all the houses he has to visit, I'm sure he would like a whisky, and a mince pie...
He might have to have a Baileys and mince pie......

Make sure Santa doesn't go off with the glass.... as 2 yrs ago Santa mislaid the glass, and when Miss Hoodie saw him, she asked him to make sure he returned the glass that Christmas!! - LOL LOVE THIS!

    Sales
Not doing sales!! Can't stick em! lol But will keep an eye out for reduced christmas cards!

    Childrens emergency pack
Good idea. For car journeys and in general...

Also at home - got plenty of 'bits' for this.

    Cleaning Challenge :D

    One for everyone-
What makes Christmas for you, do you have a familiy tradation, share it with us all.

Gosh. Sitting watching TV with only the Christmas lights on. Drinking a sneaky alcoholic coffee with cream after a massive lunch while talking over the Queens speach just before opening the tree pressies (this is what happens at my parents!!). Having the midnight mass services on the TV Xmas Eve (not religious, but love the carols). Can't wait to start doing all the 'leaving things out for Father Christmas' stuff with DD - she's 2 this year and already recognises the big red man.
Does anyone else have a sneaky look up to the night sky on Christmas eve...just in case?? :rotfl:Or that just me?? lol

A massive massive thank you to everyone for all the support with the thread, heres to a successful 2012 thread x

    No, thank YOU mum2one!!!
