Hello all :j
At last I'm in 'wrapping mode'..............lol
Two decorative glass storage jars now filled with biscuits (co-ops own brand as they're cheaper) -ribbon round the top they look great!
Little Grandsons 'christmas in a box' all done
'Christmas in a Box' for son and his girlfriend all wrapped, found a lovely leather box just the right size, tied with ribbon and ready to go
Baskets of my 'unwanted' kitchen stuff packed
Would have done more but builders were here then neighbours daughter called -fallen out with boyfriend and needed a chat but now I'm 'on a roll' hopefully I'll get more done tomorrow:)
Hope you're all ok:)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Well done Mary, you are going great guns with the wrapping.
I dont have anything festive to do today, all the wrapping is done until OH sorts his lot's out, will probably be Tuesday now as its his day off.
I miscalculated my money in the week, I withdrew £20 twice and thought I had only done it once so ended up nearly going overdrawn. What with having to use one lot of £20 for taxi fairs to the hospital, means I am now broke for the whole week until I get paid the following week. I am supposed to be meeting my SIL weds morning up the town for a hot chocolate and then meeting my friend the day after for the same so I will have to see if OH can help me out. Meant I was unable to get him any of the little stocking fillers I was going to get but I should be able to get some the week after when I get paid again.0 -
Hello all :j
Two pressies wrapped ready to post and cards made that I'd forgotten I hadn't done.
Thats been about it for today.
Still don't know what little grandson wants for Christmas or eldest son and his girlfriend.
Youngest one is happy with a shoebox of 'bits' and so is his girlfriend.
This rate they'll have money and that'll be that.
OH thinks I'm doing it all too early but he's at the hospital Dec 7th and not sure what they'll say or do so want everything sorted so I'm not thrown into a panic if he has to go into hospital yet again.
Haven't told him that though........some things best left unsaid.:)
Hope you're all ok:)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hello imore, hope you like the group.
Welcome back Esmer and thanks for updating us with your news.
Clare, I can't tell you what I made for my friend because he's a member of MSE and could get to read it.
Mary, at least your lampshades are done and they sound nice with or without beads.
Now I'm going to read mum2one's post with the challenges. Am I the only one that feels like they are going into a contented haze reading them?0 -
Hello, where is everyone?
Last night I defrosted some fruit as I thought I'd better start eating it as there wasn't room in the freezer, it was plums and blackberries and I didn't realise it was from years ago until I tasted it (yuk) so I cleared the freezer of all fruit apart from strawberries which I knew were done in the summer. That's what happens when I don't add the dates.0 -
Hi Anglea - I have never known this thread to be so quiet especially on the run up to Christmas. I have been doing some sewing this afternoon, finished off a couple of bags I started ages ago. I have put one of them on my shop and the other one is going away for my sister for Christmas next year.
OH is off tomorrow but I dont know what we are going to be doing. I am not that bothered as I dont have any money until next week so a day in with him would be nice but I expect he will want to go out to see his Dad. May be we can get to see mine too.0 -
Hello all :j
It is quiet.............people must be busy wrapping/making/shopping/cooking or something like that.
Not me............did make a card for grandaughters birthday and that seemed to take me forever..........builders have been here all day, cleaner was coming but can't make it till tomorrow so been a bit of a 'nothing' day really.
Hopefully going into town tomorrow to get ribbon and finish off a few bits, plus chocolates for jars........I've got some coffee coloured mugs, chocolate lip balm, chocolate foot scrub, so need a few proper chocs to add to it for neighbours pressie.
This room I'm sat in still looks like somethings exploded in it despite a little bit of tidying up I did (if you can call it that). Must organise my brain then maybe I can organise everything else:)
Hope you're all ok:)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

I'm super busy with life in general atm
Anyway today done almost the last bit of present shopping. Just have one more to buy now and all is done bar the foodie gift making. I'll make a list this week of what's left to buy and then use up my survey vouchers to get them as money is super super tight here atm too.
I have bought the salts and potions to make up between 12-16 jars of bath salts, fizzing bath salts and foot scrub - should get between 3 or 4 of each. This will go into 2 hampers and 1 of each for me to try out too.
Cost of all ingredients came to £30 and they should arrive over this next week. Then I'll spend a few weekends putting them together to go into the hampers.
Thanks for this months challenge as it reminded me to make my Dr appt in early Dec before the Christmas rush. Have all other medicines in just in case -eg cold and cough sweets etc.
I'll check back on this list again soon and also update you with the foodie items too.final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550
