Thinking of making cookie mix in a jar, is there a thread on here with instructions?

There are a couple of threads as a Sticky at the top of the Special Occasions forum for hampers and gifts

Here is a site of recipes

Hello to Luna and Willow xx

MrsMoneypenny - sounds like you have made a good start there. Its good to have a list and be able to cross things off it.

I did a bit more of my knitting this morning while I was waiting for OH to get ready to go out. Then this afternoon while we were out I talked him into dropping me of at the local shopping centre where they have a big Boots store. I wanted to have a look at their photo albums as I had seen some on the web site for about £13 each. I thought I would have enough money to get one of them at least. Went in and checked my handbag to make sure I had my purse and found a £5 Boots voucher that had come last week from one of my survey sites. I found some books that were self adhesive but I couldn't work out how much they were going by the tickets on the shelf so picked out two nice ones and took them to the till to get the lady to scan them. She said they were only £10 each so I would only have to pay £15 plus my voucher for them both, then she told me they were on offer, buy two and get one free, so I went back and got another one. So I ended up with three large photo albums for £5 each. I was very happy.

When we got home we sat out in the garden for a couple of hours and I brought down the photos I got printed and started putting them in two of the books. I just need to print out some nice labels to go on the pages now but I am waiting for a new supply of ink as our printer is right out of it. I also have another empty book for when I decide to do another album.
  • Rufus - amazing deal on the photo albums!!!

    Hello all :j

susan -thanks for the ribbon link.......very handy as our craft shop seems very limited at the minute.:T

rufus - you did well with the photo albums :T

Well I've done more today than yesterday........still not much ............started on another pair of wristwarmers (everyones getting them this year I think..........lol) and framed a couple of four leafed clovers for extras. Need some more frames now. If I didn't need any there'd be loads but everytime I look around there's none that are right.
Hoping for fine weather tomorrow...........we've got a continental market in town so me and OH would like to get a taxi down and have a look round. Todays been lovely so OH went to supermarket............oh relief.........I always find it so boring but being ''head chef'' at the minute he loves it.:)

    Hope your all ok:)

    Morning all

Mary, my Mum made me a patchwork jumper lol, I don't know how she did it, the patches were going this way and that way, not just straight knitting but at an angle as well. She had a pattern for it, it was during the late 80s so very loud lol. I still have it although it doesn't fit me now. I have it packed away in the loft as I don't want to get rid of it.

My sewing machine has gone wrong, disaster in my house lol. Luckily I think it is still under guarantee as I rang the help line yesterday and the woman asked me how old it was so I said 18 months and she just said pack it up and they would collect it on Monday. Means I wont be doing any sewing for a while until I get it back again. I will have to concentrate on my knitting instead. I have finished the two fronts now, and started on the back yesterday. The rib itself took me over 3 hours to do lol, now I have set the pattern for the aran, it is quite scary though as it is such a large piece to knit. I have put a photo on my blog of the pattern I am making.

I have ordered some printer ink so as soon as that comes I can start making some label for the photo albums to decorate them a bit. Apart from that there isn't much more I can be doing present wise at the moment.
