Morning all!
Mr A - I was stunned yesterday!! I went to the baking section to once again look for the elusive muffin cases and to pick up some sort of glittery sprinkles for reindeer food (I'd seen pink ones there for ages, so thought if all else fails, they'll do.). Well knock me down with a feather! And I have to assume it's because that great British bake Off program is on..... the range at the moment is emense!! Every shape and size of cupcake cases (they had muffin, two packs, I bought them!!!), edible glitter (the expensive ones) and the sparkly sprinkles were there in blue an purple too (cheaper than the glitter - got purple!), the posh food colourings (pastes rather than the bottles - though they still had those too!), cardboard cupcake stands, loaf tin cases (these are great for using with the silicone loaf tins when making citrus cake)...honestly, the range is AMAZING!! Just including loads of stuff that I've only ever been able to get from posh kitchen shops!!
Something weird - been keeping an eye on the Martin Freeman film 'Nativity' to get for Christmas (either this year or next - watching for the price to come down) but Amazon isn't selling it now (only through sellers), and find-dvd.com isn't listing prices either. Anyone seen it? I'm thinking it's still a bit expensive for this year, but can't keep an eye on it if it's starting to vanish! lol
Angela - great ideas. She has a trunki for when we go and visit her grandparents in London, and also has a tinkerbell (disney store vouchers from a friend! lol) lunch bag which she loves playing with. I have a feeling someone might get her a little handbag anyway.... Might be a good idea to get a toy bag type thing at some point, but at the moment we've no massive need as my parents have loads of toys down there for her anyway, so no real need to take any.... but will definitely keep in mind over the next few months. Maybe if I find a nice canvas bag....or does vistaprint still do them? What could I put on it I wonder....

Hi all,
Brilliant idea susan. WIll have to keep an eye open for a good cheap sledge now!
mrs-moneypenny - love your telling of Christmas at yours! Made me feel so Christmassy!! And like Sugarspun thats the type of Christmas I want us to have too.
Great, I'm glad there's nothing glaringly obvious missing from the list. That's a relief! Just need to share the list out now - the two friends are asking already! lol
Hope you're all having a good day - rufus & fedupandskint - you both sound well on top of things, and rufus I'm glad your dad liked his quilt!!

Hello all :j
Had a good day.........shopping with cleaner and even OH came with us !! Think he just wanted to be 'in charge' - food shopping was usually his thing more than mine-rather go to more 'interesting' shops.............lol
Managed to get some ribbon for foster daughters baby coat.........not the colour I wanted but it's ok, and got red and green ribbon for the fabric hearts and trees I'd done so got that all sewn on now.
Charity shop had a bag of assorted wool - never thought I'd get so excited over wool..........:rotfl: They're all short(ish) pieces probably meant for tapestry but they're long enough for me to do some really jazzy wrist warmers..........think everyones getting them this year...........lol
So, been a good day............OH now worn out but he knew he would be............after we'd been to supermarket he went round our market as well..........I was whacked just going from supermarket to craft shop for ribbon (nothing I wanted) then having to walk to the sewing shop other end of the street !
But its done now and tomorrow I can have an easier day:)
Clare - saw that yesterday and printed it off.........so funny even OH laughed and it takes a lot for that to happen after all he's been through
Hope you're all ok:)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Haven't even agreed with OH which one we want yet !
Then council builder rang to say he'll come and do the shower in the bathroom on 19th !! Gonna have house full of builders
Still, least its all getting done at last.
