Morning all
Welcome Newbies
YD is not too bad today, she was a bit upset last night, she was in by 7.30 which is early for her, we had a chat with her and found she was worrying about a few things so I rang my son who is a police officer and he had a chat with her and put her mind at rest. I suppose teenagers get all sorts of ideas in their heads and dwell on things.
Off out today to see OH's dad, YD is already out, she went out at 6.30 to meet her BF and they have gone skateboarding before the park gets full lol. Its their last day of freedom before they start college tomorrow.0 -
Pips Mum, Have you tried crafty crocodiles? The website is brilliant for the things like tiles ect for kids to decorate. I use it a lot as I'm a childminder. We have decorated tiles, clocks, wooden yo-yos and spinning tops along with vases with the pens from there. It works out cheaper as you can buy how ever many you need and the postage is better then both baker ross and yello moon. I spooted some lovely bits for xmas that I'm going to get my ds to do as presents.0

Thanks Possession! Will have a look!Clare... - Morrissons sell them too. Although theres not one by you....lol. They`re building one in bargoed by christmas....lol
Editted - Wilkensons the cheapest for muffin cases...just got mine out and they`re from there.....
Thanks susan - Will check out Morrisons. There's one not far away in Caerphilly and one near where I work, so will check them. Wilkies not so easy to get to, but will keep that in mind!
Thanks for posting those bits too - will let you know when they arrive!!
mrs-moneypenny - thanks for the warning! Never used patterned case, but will keep it in mind!
juliejim - good to see you again, and thanks for the heads up on the Entertainer sale!
rufus - oh my!! I hope YD & BF are ok... so scary. VERY PLEASED they've caught him. That'll do your YD a world of good knowing he's been caught!
Yeay!! Welcome back mum2one!!!The story with your dad and bailey is brilliant! So glad Miss Hoodie had a good time. When's her birthday??
Welcome inkedkitten and skullncrossbones!!
Sugarspun - not heard of Dealtastic!
Argh! must find Christmas Cards I bought last year!! lol
Pipsmum - never made mincemeat (currently haven't got time in my life to do that, espcially as hubby doesn't even like it! Just rely on my mum to get some and we make mince pies over there!). Was it easy? SOunds yummy!
Went on a friend's hen night last friday - I wasn't drinking though, but still surprised how much I spent on food. Grrrr. Good night though.
Desperately trying to finish a large cross stitch for the happy couple (wedding this Friday!) but I can't see me finishing it and getting it framed in time. Fortunately I've found out that they're not going to be opening pressies and cards until their back from their honeymoon, so I'll probably get it done asap and drop it in to their house (they live with his parents) while they're away.
Trying to get into some proper Christmas planning but waht witht he cross stitch, wedding, and then we're on hols for a week to France, I can't see me sorting myself out til early October. Can NOT leave everything that late!! lol

Thanks0 -
Hi Claros, welcome to the thread xx
We didnt get to OH's Dad's after all as he had had a row with OH's Mum (they dont live together) and she had gone home (she was staying the weekend there). Families!! Will still get to my Dad's tomorrow though. I am looking forward to it. I am going back again on Friday morning to do some more of his wallpaper, seems to be dragging on for months lol. My sister is going down Saturday for the weekend too so I am staying over until Sunday and hopefully between us we can get it all done.0 -
Hello all :j
At last, friends wristwarmers are done.........thought they were going on forever...........lol
The little fabric hearts I did the other day are now stuffed, just waiting to get the ribbon for them. Still seems so much to do and I know I won't do what I've done other years.............teenage grandkids will get cheque with their card..........same will apply to older son and his girlfriend I think .....he prefers 'shop' stuff, she does like things hand made though. Younger son is thrilled to bits if I make something so he's having scarf and wrist warmers and the little fabric hearts and a soft tree I'm going to do. Hes really kept me going when things have been rough lately so I really want to spoil him a bit -and his girlfriend.........she loves it all if its hand made.
Can't believe how far on in the year we are.........
But no sense panicking is there......so I won't.......:)
Hope youre all ok:)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
