Morning all
The photo book arrived yesterday from Artscow, it is really nice and although some of the photos were saying the resolution was too low they are fine, they are mostly old photos which I have scanned anyway so pleased with the result and ED will love it. I still have to finish off YD's one. I made up all the pages but you have to have so many pages to make it a book and the amount I have has just gone over to the next amount so I have about 4 or 5 empty pages left which I want to fill up but they come at the end and I would rather have them in the middle so I will have to play about and do the later pages again so I can fit more in between as it sorts of goes in date order.
There are some more lovely things on there I would like to order although I am running out of money at the moment, the uniform for YD's college cost me £50 and I still have to pay for her police check, I am not sure how much that will be yet.
OH said he will pay for a bottle of wine for ED's birthday so that might be her done once the jewellery box turns up.
Dad loved his quilt yesterday, he sat and read all the messages on it from everyone, I expect it will stay out on show for a while so he can show it off to everyone else who goes over there.
I am done with birthdays for this year now, just a few cards to get. Eldest GS just wants money in November so that will be easy to do. Now I need to start concentrating more on the rest of the Christmas presents.
I have had to shuffle things around with the stuff I was getting from Amazon for everyone as OH used some of my vouchers the other day although he said he will pay me back. I need £40 to get him some dvds (got a list), £45 towards YD's blackberry (OH is paying the rest) and I have said £70 for son to get a sat nave but I need to check his cigarette lighter bit works in his car or he wont be able to use one, in which case I will get him some aftershave instead. I have enough vouchers to pay for half of this and should manage the rest of them in time for Christmas quite easily. I will also get my dad something from Amazon, a dvd or cd.0 -
Hello all :j
My word you're wearing me out........you've nearly ''done'' christmas by the sound of it. I'm so behind myself I'll meet me coming back.............lol
Not to worry............got a 'soft tree' done for my son to go with his fabric hearts and trees......just need to do one more little fabric stocking, get some ribbon on them and they'll be done. Least that'll be his 'christmas' sorted out.:)
Shan't get much done tomorrow............mammogram in the morning, cleaner takes me shopping and then really must get some ribbon for baby jacket and get that finished for foster daughter to take up tomorrow night.
Hope you;re all ok:)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Great, I'm glad there's nothing glaringly obvious missing from the list. That's a relief! Just need to share the list out now - the two friends are asking already! lol
Hope you're all having a good day - rufus & fedupandskint - you both sound well on top of things, and rufus I'm glad your dad liked his quilt!!

Ive got a long list of things of things I need to buy for YD's college course, going to cost me a fortune. Was just wondering whether any of you know of any companies that give out those memory sticks free? I know there used to be some a while ago now. She needs to get one but cheapest I have seen about £5 and what with everything else she needs I am running out of money fast lol.0

I've got my bf's mum's present sorted now so that's good! Found my xmas cards from the January sales! Just thinking what to get my other half for xmas...I usually get him a range of treats!
Problem is... he doesn't really like christmas!I'm a big kid and absolutely love it to bits! but he hasn't really grown up with it the way I did... the other day he said he doesn't like the shops being out there to grab your money...and I said 'ahh hahhh, well, this is where MSE comes into play, they show you the way in which to say no to all that and keep as much money in your pocket as you can, whilst still being able to enjoy christmas like a king!'
well I said something along those lines... I said I'd show him what christmas is all aboutsorry for my ramble! had a bit of a crappy day and needed one!
hope you're all doing well with your christmas bits!0 -

Hi all
Clare that's a good list of potential pressies for your DD.
You wanted extra ideas -what about a nice bag? Some little girls like to take their favourite things with them, books, toys etc when they go places. Could also have a mini handbag with tiny hairbrush etc.
Some years back ex started divorce proceedings in December just before Christmas, he was stunned when I said that was a really bad time. Men! Anyhow, that fizzled out and it wasn't until this year he started it again, early in the year. I did everything on my part and when I signed the divorce and financial forms months ago, it turned out he hadn't done his. Now I'm concerned it will all be happening again in December  at the rate its going.
So I might have to get my cards done early, I've already started getting some non-perishable food just in case of financial problems. I'd like all the family over as usual this year even though in future years I might be on tinned beans0 -
I'll have to have a look in Tesco for those tins, I know they don't do them in the one near my work, so will have to check elsewhere0
