It was a demolition across the street and down Elysia, was very scary but completely explicable and non-monstery
Been a busy few days here again - my husbeast was ill again and did a few very disturbing things, so I sent him to his doctor. She sent him home saying it was probably a virus, I called his neurologist and made an urgent appointment, went along with him and he's going to be admitted to a specialist neurology clinic next week but they are thinking some sort of inflammation in the brain. Which is pretty scary but nowhere near as bad as what I was fearing. A bit scary since we're moving house soon too, but I can just pack the things I can pack, iyswim, and leave the bits I need help with.
I have a Next VIP slot this evening, so have been making a long list of things I really, really want and wondering how to get them before the masses start ordering. But now the child is sleeping so it is time for lunch, a wee with the door closed and no one watching or complaining from the hallway, wrapping the child's birthday presents so she doesn't see them before her birthday and the dishes. Hello all :j
Just popping on to let you know OH was rushed to hospital yesterday morning -well when I say 'rushed' it was when the ambulance turned up 2 hours after my 999 call ! OH was in such pain -never seen him like it. All to do with the blessed gall bladder again. Saw him last night -one doctor came along and said they'd' give him antibiotics and painkillers -again, then send him home -I lost the plot a bit at that point till OH told me to shut up...........lol Then consultant came .......he said he couldn't have OH in and out and suffering like he was and best to get gall bladder out s.a.p.
So, this morning he went to theatre for the op........4-6 hours it'll take........I'm climbing the wall but thankfully my mates coming over to keep me sane. She had her gall bladder out few years back so understands all these things and might put my mind at rest.
Had every intention of getting my felt out and making a start on stuff and can't focus on it now.......oh well..........tomorrow maybe ?
sugarspun -sorry your OH's ill..........you have my thoughts. Hate seeing other people close to you suffering. Least somethings being sorted out for him.I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Mary, do hope he is alright, thinking of you both xx
Have spent the whole day just about sewing, completely forgot I am picking the kids up after school until eldest daughter just text me about doing them something to eat. I have just about finished the shirt, record time, must be because I have made them before. I just need to sew the buttons on which I can do while sitting with them when we get back. I can then give it a good iron and take a photo and get it put away before he comes home from work.
He said his medical went ok, but he has been referred to weight watchers. Will see if he goes.0 -
My mate came over to cheer me up and while she was here OH phoned ! He counted his stitches and there's not many so whether they managed to do it all keyhole I'm not sure. Spoke to nurse and she said when I go in tonight she'll explain what's been done -course that gets me wondering about all sorts of things so I'll feel better once I know for sure.
I do hope they've managed to do it and remove the wretched thing.............neither of us can go through all that againI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hi Susan - yes she is away. Had a bit of a to-do on Tuesday, she split up with her BF the week before she went away, then got back with his the day before she went. Some girls she knew had been texting her that he was seeing someone else while she was away and she was in floods of tears, wanted to come home, could I put the money for the fare in her bank and meet her in London. Was in a right state. Took me a while to calm her down but she was still insisting on coming home, said she was texting him and he was ignoring her. We were out at the time and I was getting a bit upset myself. Told her to go and have a wash and sort herself out and I would talk to her later on. Rang her back in an hour and she was happy as Larry, BF had been asleep and didnt know anything about these girls lol. What it is to be 15 again!! Well she will be 16 on Monday lol.
I finished off a quilt last night for my shop, havent done the photos yet as was a bit too late and the light wasnt good. Gradually trying to build up some stock so that come nearer Christmas might get some sales.
Want to do some more sewing today but need to pop and see ExMil this morning. Dont want to make a day of it though or I wont get anything done. Have some fabric to make myself a top out of.0 -

Hi all
Rufus, glad the situation with DD has sorted itself out.
Mary and Sugarspun - how are your OH's today? And I hope you two are bearing up under the stress.
Susan glad you enjoyed yourself, hope you had lovely weather.
Yesterday I had to send a present for a boy under 10 and I decided to take the easiest option-money instead of something I'd bought earlier in the year in a sale and was very undecided about. I've never seen the boy (relative of ex's and he hasn't seen him either) and we don't really know much about him.
I've got DS1's birthday to deal with before Monday and that will be all until December. He's been away this week so I've been having a breather from all the dramas.
You know those gift envelopes I make throughout the year? Well I recently made a couple more for the summer and planned to give them last week.
However on the Sunday when I was taking DS2 back, I convinced myself that I'd already given them on his previous visit. It wasn't until Monday that I realised I'd made a mistake and had been thinking about the ones for Easter.
It seems to be that the more I'm trying to get organised, the more complicated things get0
