Survived another school fete, so nice not being on the organsing side of it, it went well, we had sets of showers, 5 mins, so we covered the bits with some carrier bags, made £32 (should be £42,) had Miss Hoodie with us, so that was some money to go spending, then I'm hungry so it was a burger, then they (her and dad) spotted a bar, so we shared a bottle of cider. Good day, the school must have raised a fortune, we paid £6 for the car, they had 80 cars there, plus all there stands, so we're now 2/3rd towards remainder of Prague, but having a rest for a couple of weeks from car boots...
Back in at school 2mor am, then cafcass 2mor ngt, so if you could all keep fingers crossed for us, xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
mary - I was just having a nosey at this thread and noticed the post where you wrote your husbands appointment had been said would be 2 months but written as 2nd Dec. I imagine it was written as 2/12, which does mean 2 months. For example if they write 4/52 it means they need an appointment in 4 weeks time. You've probably got it sorted now anyway but just thought I would let you knowSealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked0

Crossing fingers and toes mum2one
Weird happenings afoot here this morning, something is shaking the apartment quite rhythmically, like when you see the effects of giant monster footsteps in blockbuster movies. I think I should take a shower so at least I am clean in preparation for whatever weird things are happening.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Hello all:j
pinkpig - thanks...........I rang this afternoon and 'appointments' lady told me what it meant-then for 3/4 hour I kept trying to get through to the consultants secretary to bring forward the 'colon follow up' appt from Dec. 30th !!- I ask you!!! :eek:and get appt with 'gallbladder' consultant earlier than 2 months (had no appt letter through yet). OH doesn't feel right, least not how he feels he should despite antibiotics and better pain killers than hospital gave him and I'd like him to see someone before 2 months. He's getting very depressed as well on top of it all and I can't blame him........one thing after another.........spine probs, appendix and colon then gall bladder.........enough to make anyone climb the wall. But after all my efforts I still couldn't get anyone answering the phone. Gave up in the end before I threw the phone across the garden............lol
Ring between 8.30 and 5 they tell us...........so, tomorrow at 8.30 I'm on the phone !!
Apart from that carry on plus the fact I've done absolutely nothing that I promised myself I''d do, everythings ok.............well as much as it can be.:)
Sugarspun - ooooer..........hope you're ok:eek: Sounds scary !!
mum2one -fingers and toes crossed:)
Hope you're all ok:)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Morning all
We went out for the day yesterday, went up to see OH's Mum and popped into town as YD had told me about a bag she wanted for college when she starts in September. I have wrapped it up for her birthday for next Monday. As we came out I noticed a fabric stall up there with a sign up saying everything £2 metre so went to have a look and bought myself a nice bit of fabric to make a new top and also got a bit to make OH another shirt for his birthday. Came home and cut out the shirt while he was busy down stairs doing something then got up early this morning after he had gone to work and started sewing it up. Its a nice flowery material as he seems to love those kinds of shirts when he sees someone on tele wearing one.
Would like to make him some more for Christmas but had better wait a few months first, he said Monday that all the security staff where he works have go to have a medical (his is this morning) and they have to do a fitness test, doing a step exercise on a step thats about 18" high for 5 mins in time with a beeper going off!! Hope he can do it, I know I wouldn't be able to do one even as my legs wont pull me up that kind of step. He said some of them did it yesterday and some have been told they have to go to weight watchers and then have another medical next year. So thinking may be as he isnt the smallest person in the world he might need to lose some weight before Christmas (coul do with it to be honest) and the shirt pattern I have already might not fit.0 -
Hiya Rufus. I've been neglecting your blog lately. Have you made anything else? How is your shop going? I looked on folksy the other day, and there are only two baby samplers being sold. One had a cross stitch teddy on, and the other was some kind of print. As my design is cross stitched writing - saying 'Made to Treasure' I'm hoping it will do well. I just need some time to sew a few before I get up an running. I've had time for nothing lately.
Sugarspun - did you find out what was causing the shaking?
Mary - I hope you got OH's appointment sorted. How are you both?
Mum2one - How's things going this week. Thinking of you all and sending hugs if you need them.
Clare - Hope you have a lovely holiday.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Can anyone point me in the direction of any good websites with simple craft ideas for me to get ideas for Christmas makes or makes for presents.I had lots saved on my old laptop but I can't access them.
Thank you in advance
There is a thread on the Special Occasions started by Mary I think with links to lots of websites and instructions for crafts and projects.
I can't remember the name of it off hand, perhaps someone else can post the link to it.0 -
Hi Elysia - I have still only sold the one thing on the shop so far lol. I had a message from someone the other day saying they liked my school bags and were going to save my shop to see what else I put on, was wondering why they didnt buy one if they liked them that well lol. Still I will plod on. Think things like the quilts might go better at the end of the year when its the winter or even for Christmas presents. I have another one I have nearly finished, might finish it tonight. Have another one in the process of making but then think I will concentrate on getting some bags done and maybe some wallets that kind of thing to bump up the shop a bit for now.0
