Hello all :j
OH being sent home tonight......well neighbours taking me in to fetch him. Been trying to get through to the ward on and off all day to make sure there's someone there when I go who I can talk to and ask questions, like what he should or shoudlnt' eat, medication (make sure he's got it all as it seems there's some he took in that isn't there) what pain killers he can have -hes on paracetamol at the minute and they're not doing much good he says. Also trying to find out what time he'll be ready..............don't want the carry on I had last time when we had to wait over two hours as medication and discharge papers hadn't been done.
Oh its all such a hassle.
OH says he wants to sleep in spare room tonight as he was awake with pain last night and doesn't want to keep waking me up.
Still, we'll see. Might be better than last time.........has to be surelyI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hope its all ok tonight Mary, I popped in to see ExMil this morning, she is feeling much better since she had her operation although the scar and around it is still sore. She has lost a lot of weight though which isnt a bad thing. Was nice to see her a bit more chirpy than the last few times I have been round.
Anglea, is it your son's birthday on Monday then? Its my YD's birthday Monday. I have been making her a top out of the rest of the shirt material this afternoon, just a little summer top.
We have had tears again today lol, she is not enjoying herself that much, not the BF this time, just the friend's parents seem to be arguing all the time and its getting her down plus its TOTM as well. I think she will be glad to come home on Saturday.
Been sorting out my craft room on and off during the day, OH's Mum gave us a big ottoman the other day, its wooden and has a fabric cover on the lid which needs replacing when I can get some fabric suitable and a piece of foam. I have had a good sort out and put all the spare covers etc in it at the bottom and some of my sewing bits and pieces on top where I can get to them easily. Also found one of those plastic bag things with a zip that you can store things in and then keep it under the bed. Have put some of my quilts and cushions in it that I am hoping to sell and stored it away so now my craft room is a lot clearer without everything laying about all over the place.
OH is off tomorrow and the weekend. Might go down to see my Dad tomorrow but don't know what we are doing over the weekend yet. Think OH might be off out tomorrow night for a drink with his mate or his family, one or the other. He will stay overnight as he has to drive there and cant drink and drive back.0 -
HELLO everyone long time no speak lol,
well i think the last time i was on i was telling you about we just bought a house, well we are finally all settled in just a few things still to sort but there always is something isnt there?
things have changed a little bit though my step son decided last weekend that he wanted to go back to live with his mother,i am absolutly gutted he lived with us for 7yrs and he was like my own son. so as you can imagine all of our money has changed alot which makes christmas a very cheap affair this year for my two young boys 5and 4.
however i have been selling a few things on ebay these past few weeks and have made £60 which i am very pleased with, i am hoping to get everyone elses pressies sorted with this money then i can concentrate on my boys, step son wont be getting much this year as its upto his mum now to do the whole spoiling thing (she never has before).
i did a hamper for most family last year and im unsure how to follow on from that this year as they all loved them last year but dont want to do them again any ideas???
i am going to do the christmas eve hampers for my boys again as they where great to will start getting some little bits for them after school hols.
i think we are going to have a pj christmas this year with no one here but us, had my mum and step dad last year and just couldnt relax all day so didnt really enjoy it.
also if anyone sees any lego making kits eg helicopter, police car ect or the 3d puzzles on offer any where can you let me know as i think my 5(will be 6 by then) yr old will love making them.
hope everyones been ok while i been away, hello to all newcomers, looking forward to the santa challenges again i will start from the next one if thats ok?

Hi Abdonz, nice to see you on here again. Glad the move went well. Sounds like you are going the right way to getting Christmas sorted, can you get to the boot fairs at all where you are? You might find some lego bits there? At the age your boys are they probably wouldn't notice that things are not brand new and you might be able to get more that way. Also keep a look out on Ebay. You could always buy a plastic storage box to put the bricks in if there is no box or something. Dont forget to come and see us on the sister thread too, we are still money making on there xx0

My mate came over to cheer me up and while she was here OH phoned ! He counted his stitches and there's not many so whether they managed to do it all keyhole I'm not sure. Spoke to nurse and she said when I go in tonight she'll explain what's been done -course that gets me wondering about all sorts of things so I'll feel better once I know for sure.
I do hope they've managed to do it and remove the wretched thing.............neither of us can go through all that again
