    Xmas Saver!
I always remember when I was 17, I did an o level in law, and my first question can't remember the exact wording, but it was related to how law was referred to... the answer "The law is an !!!"

Never a truer word said - he turned up for court, so did his partner and all the children!!
Unfortunately it was a farce, he lied in court (again) we provided proof it was a lie, but the courts verdict was it against me and not Miss Hoodie.

She has to go back through the whole saga again, with a letter, and we have to go back to court again in Oct. I just give up...

On a lighter note Miss Hoodie had a box of chocs brought her yesterday, we'd got the docs appointment to say bye, and we had a chat about the case and hows its affecti ng Miss Hoodie, he's given us some really good advice, so were following that.

In school again 2mor, (help), I'm helping the kids make thier own sandwiches, and then we're having picnic in the class, the teachers got sausage rolls, cocktail sausages etc, but as a surprise, the kids are going to make fairy buns, that could be fun!! xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

    Hello all :j
Oh dear..........all I seem to be doing lately is giving updates on OH's health.
Well he's back from hospital minus bone strenghtening tablets which have got ''lost'' !!)-not sure for how long though. He's been in such pain I got GP out this morning........he had a look at him and couldn't believe hospital had sent him home withut having a bowel movement (sorry if thats too much info) and couldn't work out why they'd remove an inflamed gall bladder using keyhole. He's worried there might be a leak in the bile duct (whatever that is) and suggested OH go back to hospital.........OH's so fed up with it all so GP said to give it 24 hours maximum then dial 999 if no better and to tell 999 peeps that he'd told me to phone -no 2 and 1/4 hour wait like last time. I wish OH would go back today if only to save me worrying everytime I look at him.
Trying to focus on my knitting and can't.........still, gardening chaps been and he always cheers me up in the garden talking to the little family of newts we've got. He's gone now so back to 'not focusing' on much. OH doesn't have an appetite nor for that matter do I but think ham salad will do -easy and might get taste buds going.
    Sorry if I sound dismal............:(
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Mary - I can really see why you are feeling so bad, blimey I think if it was me and my family I would have ended up in the hospital myself with all the worry xx

Had a nice day out visiting family today, saw my Dad for lunch then visited OH's Dad after. First time I have ever been to his home.

YD comes home tomorrow, looking forward to seeing her, just hope she is in a better mood than she has been all week.

    Hello all :j
OHs pain got so bad I rang ambulance at 4pm - it got here at 5pm.....meantime we had first response and paramedic -he thought same as out gp and reckoned OH would be in theatre within couple of hours. Not so...........OH gets stuck in A & E for 3 hours in agony.......doctor saw him and got an emergency ct scan done (took an hour for results and thats emergency ??) He got sent to surgical admission ward where he was last week and all the doctor could do was give him hourly morphine -didn''t help much though. Scan results showed bile duct leak just as our GP had said but this had to be confirmed by radiologist before anything could be done.
9am this morning OH got taken to theatre.........by 12 he's in Intensive Care and likely to be there at least 2 days depending on recovery. Spoke to surgeon and asked him what had been done -he said he ''thought'' they'd sorted out the bile duct leak problem and now depended on OH's recovery. Visiting is 24 hours but I really couldnt face it today-he's tubes in and out everywhere. I can ring anytime so will phone every 2 hours to check on him. Going in tomorrow with foster daughter.
Am putting complaint in about all this. No-one should suffer this and if the op had been done right in the first place it would have been avoided.
So, I've noted it all down and just need to get a A4 notepad and list it all down. Not bothering with complaints dept at the hospital........waste of time time. So getting ICAS support with this one.
    Sorry being so grim:(

  • Hello all

I am still trying to read through the whole thread and have been lurking. I have made a good start on Christmas. I took advantage of the ELC glitch couple weeks back and brought my little girl a lot for Christmas and she is almost done :j I got mugs from the disney sale for our christmas eve hamper to have with Snowman soup plus some bits to make little hampers for my nieces and daughter. I also brought sets of 5 bottles of bubble baths in a little bag for £1.99 from Argos in Disney princesses and fairies themes to go with the bits i brought from Disney for hampers. They should make lovely pressies altogether. 2 Disney fairy hampers and 2 disney princesses hampers.

For my sister and my SIL i brought a few bits from the Body shop glitch few weeks back so they have a nice set each of a body butter, shower / bath gel, eye shadow palette, lip gloss. I have brough nice seaweed basket for the bits to go into.

I shall florist wrap it all nearer christmas !

    Hi all

Mary, it takes the biscuit, all that pain for your poor OH, all the messing around for the both of you. Everyone seems to be too vague on their explanations too.

Sorry to hear about the house Sugarspun.

Rufus glad your ex mil is better, and you fitted in your visit to your dad. How is it (if you don't mind me asking) this is the first time you met your FIL? edit, realised you have met him before, just not been to his house. Yes it is ds's birthday on Monday.

I've been having more dramas at home.

Sounds like you're also having them mum2one. Are you doing anything nice this weekend? How did you get on with the school picnic?

Abondz when you mentioned about what hobbies to do, have you seen that thread on special occasions by jr (I think that's the name) about her craft makes?

Hi Twisted Angel, you've got some good bargains.

Angela - least this time all of a sudden doctors actually want to talk to me and they answer questions I ask !! About time !
OH is still in intensive care and on ventilator but nurse was going to try and wake him about 5.30pm. Seems they keep some patients sedated for a while then ease off the sedation so they wake up. I'm phoning again in a bit before the nurse changes shift and get an up date.
I can see everyone getting a cheque with a card this christmas.........just can't get to focus on anything.
Maybe once I know for sure that this time they've done the job right and don't send him home till they're certain he'll be ok...........maybe then I can get on:)
