Well what a week i`ve had, no crafting, no money making. I think i got my head sorted so fat club weigh in today, disabled outing tomorrow. And I must do some crafting , think I `ll make some christmas cards and get organised a bit.

Want to make special ones this year so think I`ll start now.

On a positive note, my friend asked did i have any cards she could have so I got my box out to show her what i been doing and she bought them all:eek: didnt really make any money on them but was nice to have some money to buy more craft things:D. Mind you I pot it in the pot for savings;) as there isnt anything i need at the moment.

I was saving for a kindle bt OH bought me one to cheer me up....:T

Morning all, we had rain all day yesterday but wasnt as much as you all saying, not raining hard, just making everything wet all day. Was upset the tennis was rained off as was looking forward to spending the afternoon watching that while doing my hand quilting. Then the Grand Prix suffered from the rain too, I was hoping it would be finished by time OH got in from work as he doesnt like it, but ended up having it on the lapop with some earphones while he watched Eastenders on the big tv. Glad I stuck with it though, was really good race in the end.

Other grandson came round too in the afternoon to make a bag so had something to do with no tennis on. Was quite nice us both sitting on the settee sewing together.

Car needs MOT today but that is OH's dealings, I just go with him to hold his hand. He has got his date for his trip abroad, he is going on the 20th Oct to Hong Kong, has to fly out on his own for couple of days before his pary arrive who he is looking after. He is staying in the top hotel over there, costs 1000 HK dollars a night what ever that is in our money for cheapest rooms. They have given him a blackberry to use out there and a company credit card. Need to get his passport photos done today and get them signed and the form. Luckily my son is a police officer so he can do them for him.

    Hi all

Rufus you must live on the other side of the country to me because the rain was horrendous yesterday LOL.

That must be nice to sit with your grandson and make something together.

Mary are you planting borage to have with Pimms?

I bought mum's present Saturday and wrapped it in the libary and dropped it off on the way home. Sunday I had a birthday card for ex and it wasn't until about a minute before I was about to see him, that I remembered, so had to write it out quick.

I really need to buy the Father's Day card in advance of the weekend or I'll end up in the same mess.

Rufus, that sounds like an interesting assignment for your OH.

One of the children has just been for an audition for a reality show yesterday and will know in 2 weeks if they have a place. I did say to them that people might be coming out of the woodwork with stories let alone all the internet or newspaper discussions if they get on the show. Apart from this they have so many irons in the fire all going on at once (going to a do with the mayor of London today) that if they do get confirmations, how will they be able to choose?

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm terrible with making choices if there are a lot of options.

    Hello all :j

Nanny -thanks for that.......useful website for all sorts of things I might need and the teddy is lovely.

Angela - Pimms ? I wish I could............lol Be a while before it grows and really I only got that and the evening primrose as they're two plants OH just loves...........Borage is lovely colour blue and the evening primrose opens at night and you can actually watch the petals opening :)
Not allowed alcohol due to medication for epilepsy:(

Better day today..........rained this morning but its warer outside than indoors and we've had some much needed sunshine :)

One front to do and baby jacket is done..........must make a list of ''stuff'' to do...........won't be much this year though-life sort of got in the way a bit.

    Hope you're all ok:)

The car boot was a disaster, looked fine at 6am, dragged my backside out of bed, we were there at 6.30am.....7.30am the heavens opened, 8am we packed up, made £1.50 and that was Miss Hoodies ....

That sounds lovely, bless him hubby sounds one in a million.

quite exicted got my bedroom furniture delievered today, big phew as its the right one, even better, as when looked online it had gone back up to £399.99. Thou be couple of weeks before it gets up, got to gut the bedroom, - get all units out....

Feel a bit like a lost sheep with no OU work, my next court starts 8th Oct, so should get the books start of September. Seem to busy as school, managed to read with 18 children this morning, then in again Wed all day, reading in the morning, and then do 1 to 1 in the afternoon, with 4 kids, thats just to summer. Everyone keeping me out of trouble!!

    Morning all

Looks a nice day out today. Think I might go up and do a bit of sewing this morning so I can try to get something to bring down to do hand sewing as OH is going on dreaded nights again tonight.

    Hello all :j
Lovely day and I've been enjoying the garden.........after I'd been all over the floor covering a piece of foam with some green curtain material I'd got in the cupboard (thank goodness I didn't chuck it out!)............cushion for the seat I ordered was ok but it needed a bit of softness for the back and what I've done works fine...........one more to do but can't face it today. Quite pleased with myself for managing to do one !

Hope you're ok and the suns shining on you:)

    Hi all

Mrs M, those seem like good ideas for the jars.

Mum2one, you poor things in that awful weather. Glad your bedroom furniture arrived without any hassles, you sound really busy at the school, does it tire you out?

Mary, that's a good idea with the garden cushion.

Years ago at a craft fair I bought a large piece of cream aida with an unfinished cross stitch design at one end (it was a wide border of beautiful flowers).

Finally I decided I need to do something with it, and decided on a sort of bag that can be used for a small nightdress or nice hankies etc. (or hiding Xmas presents) I took it into my craft club today to discuss tactics and one of the ladies is going to bring me some nice edging material to reinforce the edges as they are fraying badly.

Rufus, what you you been making?

Susan, did you start on any Christmas cards?
