Hi all
I decided to stop in today and make some headway on a financial form, I've ended up here because I went upstairs to find some info and passing the computer thought going online a good idea LOL
It's a very complicated form and have already made a number of errors, good thing I'm doing it in rough - then at some point in the future will have to take it to the solicitor to get advice how to fill in the rest of it.
I just hope I don't forget next week's birthdays with all this on my mind.
Mum2one - you're having a busy week, it's interesting to hear the things little children talk about and their observations on life.
Hope you are all having a good day.0 -
Hello all :j
Thanks for the ''sleep/dream'' ideas........some good ones there -enough to make up a nice little hamper for her.
Lovely day but cool breeze..........bit too chilly to sit outside........well for me anyway, thin bones and all that. I'd need my fleece on..............lol
Hospital sent appt. through today for OH to see medical people about his stomach....November !! On his discharge papers it clearly says follow up appt 6 weeks from discharge ! Honestly.........words fail me and I wonder how long it will take me to get through on the phone to them -normally say goodby to a morning for that ! Oh well, nothing else doing tomorrow anyway...............lol
Been trawling through some scrapbook paper sites.......why is everything I like so expensive...........:( Really must try and get to our little craft shop in town...........maybe next week.
Hope you're all okI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Don't know if anyone has a Whittard of chelsea shop nearby, but when I went into ours yesterday they were giving away free teabags, a maxiimun if 3 you could help yourself to, so I did 3 in my left hand 3 in my right!
Got my glasses sorted, luckly the PCT trust had rang the opticians to say i could have the NHS eyetest and the voucher (phew), so choose some funky purple colur frames for my main pr, they're having the reactiuons in and 2nd pr (freebie) can't remember which I choose, but there going into sunglasses and specsavers had an offer on free tint, so that saved a few quid.
I'm terrible at choosing glasses, so I end up grabbing everything I like about 20 pairs, then decide at the table, as the way I look at it, the staff know more about how the lenses fit, and they see you as others do, and it saves going up down, and all that if you only take couple pairs and there wrong, thou the bloke was going to get one of the assistants to put the frames away,
He was so funny, he said like mother like daughter.... as last week when Miss Hoodie had her glasses, they told her to choose some. so she did about 20 pairs, but we had to take them in with us when she had her eye test, then this bloke comes back from doiing something sees half the rack of teenager glasses missing and thinks someone has stolen them!
have to confess did have 40 (more like 400 winks yesterday afternoon), never so bored at the meeting, one woman behind me fell asleep!!)
xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Afternoon all
Had a nice morning shopping with YD for bits for her Prom. We found a nice pair of flat shoes in Peacocks in a creamy colour with a flower on the front (she doesnt want to be taller than her BF lol) and a nice corsage type flower in same cream colour to go in her hair (or to wear on the dress). They also had a pretty pair of earrings shaped like roses in cream, and a bra that can go strapless (dress has straps but tiny ones so strapless bra would be better). Had some vouchers from the Mail thing they booted me off of so only had to pay £11 in cash and used some of my £2 coins I had saved. Next went to New Look and found a lovely cream crocheted evening bag with a silver chain, had £3 left on a gift card towards this so paid £4 cash. Her dress was free so in total has cost me £15 - all out of my £2 coins tin so really pleased. Have enough left over to get her a nice necklace to wear when we see one.
She came home and tried it all on, looked lovely.
Cant cook dinner today as our gas meter isnt working, just topped up the card when in town and came home and found a message saying the battery in the meter has failed so waiting for them to come and fix it. OH said he will probs get a take away tonight save worrying.
He has his date for his work trip, 2oth October, just got his passport form. Hes got training in London tomorrow morning.
Hoping the tennis will stay on for a bit without any rain, then I can sit and do some quilting and watch tele and have a rest this afternoon.0 -
Hello all :j
What a downpour we've had..........like a monsoon it was........and still raining but not as heavy thank goodness and no thunder and lightning............electric already went off once although briefly........enough to stop the cooker clock and I've not a clue how to re-set it...........lol
Borage and Evening primrose plants arrived today -I'd ordered them for OH really........they're plants he loves and we did have them in the garden but they seem to have disappeared. Friend went and got compost so they're all ready for sorting out -even got a little 'potting bench' in the garage.............lol (well of sorts.........lol)
Looks like it'll be a dismal weekend..........shame as the Summer Fayres on in town........not that we'd have gone.........no taxis on Sundays and neighbour is going our for the day. Still, least I won't spend any money..................lol
Hope you're all ok:)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hi all
I'll second the monsoon Mary, I went up the shops to get some cards and presents but didn't get them as all my clothes were like wet rags by the time I got there and I couldn't face looking at anything with water dripping from me, so I just bought some rolls in Greggs instead of picking up something from the supermarket and walked home.
I'm doing a bit more on the form today.
Oh no, I was supposed to find something out from mum today about the pressie I was going to buy - of course with the weather I forgot all about it as I only popped my head into her house for a few moments. And it also means that when I do buy something I'm going to have to wrap it in the libarary LOL in order to drop it off on the way back.
This is what you get when you leave everything to the last moment0 -
Angela -good luck with the form...........hate them and had so many to fill in since January - anything financial frightens me witless and OH has always been c**p at anything like that so it all falls in my lap.
Rain stopped !:TI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hello all :j
Another 'chilly' day but despite that -plus back- I set forth and planted the borage and evening primrose..bit random in the raised beds but they needed getting in.........just hope the temp. doesn't drop too much now. Weather seems to think its autumn !! Suns shining now but then wind gets up and theres a lot of black clouds looming:eek: Hope we don't get what we had yesterday !
Too cold to sit outside so picked up knitting again and been doing the front of baby cardigan.
Contemplating getting buttons out to do a button necklace ......or paints ............not sure and if I'm not careful I'll end up doing nothing:( Must get backside in gear..................:)
Hope you're all ok:)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
