Clare - I think the tabs and a pole would look nice, you could even wrap some shiny paper or tinsel around the pole. If your'e not putting anything too heavy in the pockets then the felt should be ok. You could always back the felt with some old sheeting or something to give it a bit extra strength, the back wont show once hung. You could sew that on with a big stitch around the outside like it was supposed to be decorative. If you can find some nice sparkly fabric you could make the tabs out of that (charity shop, sparkly blouse or something??) and then sandwich the tabs between the felt and the back. Just have a play around with it. Even some ribbon for the tabs and then just tie with a bow over the pole?

You're a star Rufus. Thank you!!:T And that quilt with all the strips.... You've the patience of a saint! Love your dad's quilt!!!

SOOOOO sad to hear about mummyslittleboy. Her poor family. :(

(Very spoilt for my birthday what with the nigth away, cinema, meals out, pressies from family, I also had an eternity ring from OH!! It's lovely!)

Vistaprint - does anyone have a free code for loyalty cards?

Suntan Lotion - all stocked up thanks to fab Avon offers!
Christmas card List - Definitely need to check this and make sure I'm up to date with any address changes!

Pop in & say hello! Can't believe it's the 1st of June already.
I am fairly organised for Christmas, we will be coming back to Scotland for a flying visit in September, so everything is wrapped and ready to take with us. Have even got 2 birthday gifts for 2012 to take....save postage which is extortionate!

We got a family portrait photo done at school so will be buying cheapy photo frames when we come home as extra gifts.
I have always made a food hamper for inlaws so will do that when we are home too.

Mary I jsut want to say, you & OH have had such a terrible time lately, so I hope things improve now he has had surgery, it's obviously been bothering him for a while :(
Hope you get to enjoy your garden after all the work that's been done.

Rufus, had a look on your homepage & your Dad's quilt is lovely, what a lot of work & effort!

    Hello all :j
OH had rough night last night -do hope he perks up before the weekend. I think the ''sad'' expression is as much boredom as his stomach pain but his backs hurting today as well.........he could do without both of them giving him such ''ouch''.
Neighbour is clearing her garden now so bin men will have a shock with two wheelie bins full to bursting next week ! Hopefully going to garden centre with her Friday to get a few more plants.......need some for my chimney pots and some of the smaller pots I'm dotting around.

Picked up my knitting today.......first time since OH went into hospital -couldn't get my head round doing anything let along knitting. Done the back of baby coat for foster daughter now doing a sleeve.

rufus - the photo idea sounds lovely....I'm sure they'll look great :T

mum2one -don't show me piccys of nice tidy bedrooms like that..............lol Makes me want to chuck out my stuff and start again........lol:rotfl:

Sun shining and its warmer now............hope you're all ok and the suns shining wherever you are:)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hi everyone, managed to pick up some glittery sticky letters today half price in Dunelm Mill to use in the photo album. Also bought a purple pendant thingy which was reduced to 75p. I have wanted a purple necklace for ages as have all the other colours except purple. Think I have some black cord in my craft room to thread it on.

Rufus - the photos sound absolutely fabulous! I wish I could do things like that too. LOL. I can just about post on here. LOL

I ordered a few more squares for my patchwork (patterned again - I was supposed to be buying plain, but couldn't resist) but when they came, the first lot were 3inch square and the second lot 4inch, so I'll just have to buy more. :D I don't even know what I'm making yet, I just want to try quilting.

Mary - I hope you did get into the garden, and that OH isn't in too much pain.

    Hiya Clare, Anglea and Mhagster.

Mum2one - Lovely furniture - I posted on the other thread, but didn't want you to think I was being ignorant. ;) Off to Blists Hill tomorrow with our freebie passes - just a quick note to say, you still have to pay for Miss Hoodie when you use it - the Art Pass is for over 18's, I didn't realise until I read the terms and conditions again. :( It's still brilliant though. ;)

elysia - Hope you have a good day at blists Hill, were off the end of June, it be her 2st time meeting her irish grandparents, so neutral place, plus theres stuff to do, we can all get involved, your have to let us know what its like, last time I went they were just building the new street.
Cheers as well re paying Miss hoodie, one of them can borrow her pass, cheap day out.

Mary - Hope OH going on ok, and your both enjoying the new garden, and plzed you've picked up the knitting again, I'm aiming for a few knitted jackets for xmas, - thats on the to do list. The tidy bedroom, (cheats and uses Argos photo), ours just looks like a bombs hit it.

organised again yesterday, this is getting worrying, decided to pull the airing cupboard out, it was like Doctor Who tadris, never ending, thou we diod get big bag of towels and some blankets - there be going to the local dogs trust, a bag of curtains and old quilt covers (there going to the sewing club at school), and pjs that too small for Miss Hoodie (going to her friend),
We found some curtains we'd brought a few yrs ago, originally for Miss Hoodies room, - now they clash, but they fit perfectly in ums room, so shes over the moon.

Dentist today - he's done my two crowns, he was impressed that the temp crowns were still holding, feels great not to have a big gap.

Semi organised for this OU assisgnment, you can tell so exicted about writing it!!! printed off some notes thats got to be in by Thurs midday, but in school tues morning, wed all day, got govenerors meeting one evening, and follow up with dentist thurs, so it have to be done over the weekend,

taking Miss Hoodie and her friend out tomorrow to a big park, so dragging dad with us, he gets him away from decorating!! His next job is Miss Hoodies furniture, let him have a rest before he paints my room. (need a skip, 20 pairs of hands and a miracle), just got so bogged down with the court case (still draging) and everything else, haven't put bday presents away yet!

    We're get there eventually.

I had a compliement (of sorts), talking to our neighbour, he was taking the mick as he was at the pub with his family when Miss Hoodie and me went Tuesday to meet our friend, the neighbour said you were with a older woman, she did look at thou she was getting on a bit!!!! Shes only 5 days older than me!! xxx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

Mum2one - Blists Hill was great today - it was lovely and sunny, even got a little bit burnt. It wasn't even packed considering it is school hols. We last went April 2009, and there have been a few new additions. The site seems to have opened up, and it's bigger, but probably not accessible for you though, a bit hilly and rough ground here and there, the main bits OK though.

We took the three passes, and said to the assistant, we've got three passes, but we think (know ;)) we have to pay for DD2, she went away to ask the supervisor, and she said we could use the pass anyway, so we got in for nothing. It should have cost £15 per adult and £10 for DD2. Brilliant. :D.

    Hello all :j
OH went to the pub yesterday for change of scenery -can't blame him- but it wore him out. Not too much for him to enjoy a few hours in the garden though. Still waiting for bench and seat cushions to arrive but we've got others kicking about so made do with them. Foster daughter and her OH came round. They're coming back Sunday to take out car to their house so it's 'off road'. Insurance is due in 2 weeks, then tax and there's no point in paying out if its just going to sit there. OH has no idea when he'll be able to drive again but think it'll be some time.
Should be at the garden centre with neighbour now but last night her daughter twister her ankle and its still swollen so she's borrowed my wheelchair to take her to A & E just to check its not broken. I did get couple of geraniums yesterday and 2 courgettes (2 of ours have been eaten but they were tiny) so when gardener chappie calls he'll have something to do. Need some more compost but think we'll have enough for the geraniums.
So, whether I'll get to the garden centre or not depends on how long neighbour is at hospital......she's been clearing her garden and is desparate to get planted before she goes back to work next week.
Hopefully we'll have some time in the garden today once the nurse has been as re-dressed OH's wound. Daren't go out there before she's been.

Hope you're all having good days in the sun:)
