Hi all, haven't a hope of catching up but see that Susan is in need of some hugs and a stern telling off to take it easy.

NYC was wonderful and I wish we were still there. Came back and now have the most horrendous toothache :( emergency dentist for me tomorrow I think. Bah.

Well done Toothfairy, 3 days might not seem like long for some but when you are trying to give up every day is a new goal. I used to be a heavy smoker but gave up over 8 years ago now. I found it really hard going as my OH still smoked at the time but I kept at it and am glad now that I did. I used to suffer with bad sore throats and one chest infection after another but now I hardly ever get a sore throat or cold or anything like that, may be once a year. You will probs go through some really bad patches but make sure your family are there to support you plus all of us on here will be beside you, good luck, Rufus xx
  • Thanks Rufus. DD & DH are still smoking but its not bothering me that much as I dont really like the smell. But its just the habit I am trying to get out of. Especially after eating lol

Stepmum - You've got on brilliantly with the challenge, and very well organised, good for you saying yes to the chinese.

Susan - Glad to see you back, you get plently of rest, sounds like you had the full works. Put your feet up and rest - otherwise send Miss Hoodie down to keep you quiet!!

Elysia2003 - bet your having fun and games with the pre-party getting ready!!

Mary - Had to laugh, thats a thing I would do, wrong plug.

Give you a laugh, went into school fri and was reading with another class, normally have the last yr of ks1, this time I'd got 8/9 yr olds, this one boy came out, so funny telling me about Mister Tom (the original tv series John Thaw), the class had been to see the play as there studying second world war. He pipes up, Miss where you evacuatied on world war 2!! What was it like.......... Yes I'm approaching 40, but bless him!!

He had just a cheeky face, - no i'm not that old. xx

Lol at the kid at school Mum2one, I remember once when my youngest was small she had been looking at my Dad's old photo albums and asked me whether I was alive when everything was black and white haha.

I have finished embroidering ExMil's pillowcase, put a couple of pics on my blog. Now I am sorted until May when its my Son's birthday. I usually get him a couple of summer t-shirts so will have a look round during the week as OH has a weeks hols.

Good afternoon everyone, well I've had a jolly old catch up - my last post on here was at the beginning of Jan! I have been posting on the other thread, but will try and make more of an effort in future on here. I do follow everybody and love to read up on how well everyone is doing with their Money Saving.
Am feeling a little sorry for myself today, have had a bout of sinusitus that keeps coming and going and is in its third week now. I was shattered yesterday, went to bed at 8.30 last night, got up at 8.30 this morning and still feel terribly tired. DD is fast asleep on the couch and OH and DS have gone to golf so think maybe I should get my head down alongside her.

Susan - Glad you are out of hospital. Take it easy and do as you are told - best way to recover quickly!

Mum2One - It doesn't matter how old we are, to the kids we are ancient! But remember, if we are ancient how old are OUR parents?????

Sorry i haven't time to list everyone I want to talk to, but my brain and head are frazzled.
Hope everyone has a good half term week, the challenge will soon be upon us!

    Hello all :j

foxy - hope you feel better soon -hugs ((((:o))))

Bit of a morning.............last night our lad locked the front door bit heavy handed and it wouldn't unlock again  So, rang locksmith this morning to ask him to call tomorrow..........well he came this morning just as I was starting to sort out last years christmas cards to recycle for this year. He was here quite a while but at least now the door functions as it should and our lad is banned from touching in never mind locking it ! £79  Still, these things happen..........well they do in our household and thankfully he didn't charge extra for weekend call as he only lives local.

Back aching this morning..........think I walked about a bit too much yesterday so today taking it easy. :)

    Hope youre all ok:)
