Day 1 of Stop smoking and its going ok. Have my patches on and inhalator to hand!!!! I do fancy a ciggie but am not gonna have one. Need to do this as operation in less than a month and really need to be not smoking for that. Oh and money wise aswell!! Over £5 a packet ...ridiculous!

I had a mini stroke whatever that is, so we at hospital at the moment, i`m bored to death and have my dongle plugged into my netbook. While they have me plugged into everything else....[/QUOTE]
You need to get plenty of rest, thats what mum had 2 yrs ago, its a temporaty blip in the body, stopping the exygen for a short little time span.
There keep you monitored, as with mum, she was told its a 12/24hr monitoring, then as long as bloods etc ok, they let go. She went in on Saturday afternoon, and they let our out on the Sunday afternoon. Hers was 2 yrs ago this April, shes made 95% recovery, but then she had mobility problems, think on the additional medication she takes is asprin, but once the 12/24hr clear period, we were told shes as muck risk as the next person.
Please take care, glad you got the dongle and netbook, there a godsend. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Hello all :j
Head rest for my bed gave me a good nights sleep........too good really -woke up with one of those stinking headaches that won't shift so won't be on here long.
elysia - I always behave myself.................lol
susan - you take things so much in your stride.....do take care and get well soon...........hugs (((((:o))))
Hope the headache better, thinkimg of you earlier, - re hip and bones etc, I was recommend glucosamine sulphate by my physio, its meant to be good for bones, builds strength, most of the on-line vitamin shops sell them, - i do a 1 a day dose, think we paid £7 for 360 tablets (1 a day). xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Another Vista order came yesterday, everything in it was nice.
Had a look for the reduced sugar jams but couldnt find any then remembered she asked me ages ago if I could have a look for a pillow case for her. She has to have a pillow on her chair where she sits and she has seen some with the person's name on it so I decided I would do one of these for her instead of the jams as more up my street.
Had a look round charity shops yesterday and found a lovely white cotton pilowcase, just right for embroidering onto. Wilkinson's had some threads in there in a pack with lots of colours, was about £3.50 ish. Pillow case was £1.50 so for £5 will have a nice gift plus I will have lots of coloured threads left over.
Went on web yesterday afternoon and found a nice "friends" poem so drew that on plus her name and some flowers and started stitching over the lines last night. Got quite a bit done as nothing on tv worth watching.
When its finished that will be all the birthdays up to May done, just need to get a couple of cards next week.0 -

Wishing you well Susan and hope you are able to take some time to be looked after.
Been busy making cards today. My internet has been down for the past couple of days and it is amazing what I have managed to get done without the computer for distraction. Even the children have been making cards for their Daddy for his birthday on the 27th and they have loved it. I'll make crafters out of them yet.
Wishing youall a lovely weekend.

Thanks. Looking at the votes I don't think she'll make top two, but I appreciate it, and to anyone else who voted!

rufus - you're ticking along very nicely there!! :T
susan - hope you're ok! We're all thinking of you!!
stepmum - I sometimes wish I didn't have the internet as I'd get so much more done!! lol
Lisi - hope your Day 2 of not smoking went ok!! Take it each day at a time, and one slip up does not mean all the days you've gone without are wasted!
Had an amazing MSE shop at Mr T today! Went with a £7 off a £50 spend voucher, and also wanted to spend over the £50 mark to get the 5p off a litre of petrol. So did my shop. Before the bogofs and other offers it was worth £79! After the bogofs, it came to about £62 I think (fab start!!). Then the lady at the check out scanned the wrong voucher (I took all 6 on the sheet) and a £5 voucher (off £50 shopping) for use in a few weeks scanned and came off the shopping! She asked me if I wanted to still put the £7 one through - silly question! It went through! She asked if I wanted to try the last one (another £5 off a £50 spend that shouldn't have been able to be used for weeks yet!!) - I said go ahead, and it worked!! Final bill?? £45!!! BARGAIN. Was nearly skipping out of the store!! lol :T:rotfl:
Also, just been on Amazon to order my mum's b'day pressie. I had £24 worth of Amazon vouchers from survey sites, so my mum's pressie just cost 53p or something silly!! lol
What a fab MSE day! :T Cant say the same for my healthy eating.... lol
Hope you're all well, and sorry if I missed anyone!!

Day 2 - Has been hell........had mahooosive row with DH this morning over nothing but it was his fault not mine!!! Was craving tic tacs and mints this eve so have been munching on them!!! Really could murder a ciggie but I really need to do this. So am trying really hard...the inhalator isnt really doing it for me. I will persevere lol
Other than that.....nothing much going on in the life of Lisi!!!
Much love to all

Well done on Day 2 Lisi.
If the inhalator thingy not working, just go for hun. That's what my mum did. You've got the willpower and we're all behind you willing you on. YOU CAN do it and you WILL. Just imagine the money you're saving, and what you can treat yourself to.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!
