I think I've fixed the DW myself :j It's shifted in it's internal holding (it's intergrated) and the screws have come out and disappeared. When I thought there was something stopping it shutting, turns out it's the metal bit that attaches the worktop to the cupboard. I've shifted the DW slightly and it's shutting now
It's still wobbley as no screws but at least I know just to shift it now. I rung my Dad and he will bring some screws over Xmas Day for me (and fix it

Molly - glad you're home!:j:j
Halight - My son made it back today!:) (just walked through the door after visiting my Mum)
we've definitely had your share of snow!
The roads are still bad here, we skidded in the town this evening and narrowly missed a parked car:eek: luckily Taplord is an excellent driver so I was in safe hands.
He's got his work cut out tomorrow but he wants to try and deliver as much of his Christmas stuff to his customers as possible.
I'll pack him plenty of emergency supplies just in case.
Mr BE - sounds like you're not short on offers of you're stuck!;):D
better get and wash up
take care all xDo what you love :happyhear0 -

DH has sorted the boiler, he has put a little tap on the condenser pipe that leads from the pump in the cupboard and just drains the pump when it gets too full. Clever DH x:T So we have heating whether it is frozen or not
Molly and Polly great to see that you are home :T Just make the most of the rest
taplady I am glad DS has managed to get home.

Evening All
Went to work today...felt lousy but better than I had done. I really wish I could just stay off without feeling guilty! Got the train today (on account of the car engine still being frozen...) and it was rather lovely! This morning's journey was very calm and I got to read a magazine uninterupted for about twenty minutes!! This evening was less smooth as the express train was cancelled and the available one stopped at every single stop and there was 4 pre-teen sat infront of me but they got off half way home which meant that peace reigned once more.
DS2's girlfriend has done the last of my wrapping :j so bar the food deliverys and a final clean (DS1's in charge of that tomorrow) we're on schedule for christmas. There are a few bits I would like to have picked up but nothing that we can't live without.
Works christmas do for tomorrow night has been postponed until new year. Quite pleased as 1. I feel lousy and 2. was worried about getting home as it's a bit of a trek for me.
DH has been deposited at his xmas do and will no doubt return in the early hours apologising for being drunk and saying 'I f***ing love you I do' :rotfl:It is now time for my new favourite tipple...Hot Chocolate with slug of Baileys which I stupidly introduced the twins to last night. They liked it. I have very little Baileys left!
Have a good evening xClimbing back on the OS wagon after a short vacation to Recklessness

Still no water here, but have rung a man who is coming with 'gas' in the morning, not sure what that means but if he fixes it do I care??
DS2 made it to his own house only a couple of hours late to-day, seems that all carriers are doing their best to get people home for Christmas, putting on extra flights etc, something about this time of year that brings out the best in people.
Molly and Polly....glad to hear that you are both home and resting....nice to just direct operations for a change, I am sure.
Its very cold here, but seems to be thawing at the same time, not sure what that's about, allegedly from Sunday we are to have flooding in some areas....living on a little hill has its benefits sometimes.
Stay safe and warm everybody, sleep well.

Bitsy My SIL lives in Walsall (not that she wants to know us) so I know where it is. Apart from visiting MBE (it would serve him right), it occurred to me tonight that if you're in that sort of area then a school holiday day out could be on the cards when the weather is better. Have Elf, can travel.
Ooooh sounds good to me although I really don't know Walsall well at allNever been my neck of the woods

Oh yes the more the merrierMind you I fear mindees are going to be a bit disappointed, 4 kids and me playing musical statues/bumps and I've made a pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey-come-Xmas-tree-game - not exactly rocking the joint :rotfl: Still I think they are quite excited about the food, mini pizza, sandwiches, cupcakes which are now iced with some festive plastic rings perched on top (thank you Greggs and well done me for hoarding them from last year
) The things I do for kiddies :rotfl:
Right better b*gger off as I only logged on to look up a CD for my dad.
