No I don't think you will be missing anything worth while.
What I do wish is that when we were a lot younger before we had the children, we should have seen what was happening and taken the bull by the horns and emigrated to either America or Canada. I had professional jobs out there all lined up. Now I see my friends that did take the plunge and do it, what a lifestyle they have.
Even now I am seriously considering buying and living in the main, in France. Still keeping our place here, but moving everything over there.
But that can only happen when my father leaves this world. Still I would prefer to have him here than that then!
