I have read through this, but I cannot find anywhere what make and model of boiler you have.

Although I too feel for your desperate situation and the apparent and alleged bad service, I would be very careful about naming and shaming on a publicly viewable website without taking appropriate professional and legal advise.

Please take this in the manner as it is intended, plain and simple advise to you and not as any form of threat or scaremongering, but the last thing you need right now is an allegedly unscrupulous individual(s) sueing you.

I do hope the new company has fixed it for you.

names and shaming ..those guys at A1 must pay google ..a bunch of money ..unlike other comnpanies who have been mentioned here ..this thread only apears on the 3rd page of google search.

I have just come across this post and threads and I am amazed at what I have read.

I live in Stoke on Trent and have used A1 Gas Services to complete work more times than I can remember. They have installed 2 full heating systems for me, repaired boliers, installed a gas fire and I have recommended them to 7 friends who used A1 to do work for them. All of the work I have had done was completed quickly and at a reasonable cost, with no issues.

It upsets me to see the threads above trying to bring disrepute to a local business without any evidence except that of the original "poster". There are two sides to every story and from reading the threads only one seems to have been heard.

I understand things go wrong and I understand that people have misunderstandings but this post is nothing but a witch hunt.

I feel very strongly about potentially ruining the reputation of someone with out any evidence and on the say so of one person. To put this into perspective I could write anything about anyone on this forum now and it could be totally untrue, I could ruin their business, family life, anything. Forums should be taken at their face value, this thread only seems to be attacking a company and individual, one disgruntled customer does not speak for 1000s of very happy ones.

I would happily recommend A1 Gas Services, Stoke on Trent to anyone without a second thought.

Some of the "thread posters" do not even live in Stoke on Trent and have probably have never used A1, how can their opinions be considered?

What business are you in to have used A1 Gas more times than you can remember?

And what is your relationship to A1? Family member, school friend or other?

I am a Sales Director at an Internet Security company. I know A1 Gas initially through the yellow pages and have used them for over 10 years. As quoted I have used them for 2 full heating systems yearly servicing and recommended them to friends. My relationship goes no further than being a customer.

Have you used A1 gas? If so have you had a bad experience? I guess you haven't used them and therefore, like the others, do no qualify to comment. Do you get paid by moneysavingexpert.com? I guess you do.
