We even have leftovers from the leftovers.

The leftover uncooked mushrooms from the Boxing Day starter of home-made (even the pasta) mushroom & Stilton ravioli were used to make mushroom Stroganoff tonight.

There is one portion left over, which we plan to freeze and have on hot buttered toast for lunch one day next week.
If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5? :)

I never have left overs, I just have a weeks menu :)

Turkey ( for 4/6) was roast on Christmas Day for 3

Cold with bubble for 3 Boxing Day

Leek and turkey pie for 6 last night

2 litres of stock and a bowl of meat for the soup and another bowl of scraps for the dog today

Sliced and frozen with gravy - another six portions

Sandwiches for whoever was around and hungry at the time

Gammon just about finished, ham sandwiches and ham egg and chips

I've one packet of prawns to be used and then are heading for a prawn and noodle stir fry with lime and chilli

For those with jars of mincemeat, top up with brandy or sherry and store in the fridge. Will be grand whilst the alcohol covers the mincemeat. Top as required.

Don't feed the mince meat to minors or those that are driving ;)

I just heated up the leftover stuffing with left over xhestnuts, half a cup of grated cheese, a dolop of cranberry sauce, a dollop of onion chutney, added 2 eggs whisked with a spot of milk, all in an ovenproof dish for 20 mins at 200 and it was lish. 1 portion tonight for supper, one for tomoz brekkie.

We have just finished ours off tonight and I am quite proud of this because I have never used every bit of it before. I had a bird that served 5-6 people. All people listed are adults.

Christmas Day - Roast Turkey and all the trimmings. Gravy stock made out of giblets. - 5 people
Boxing Day - Cold turkey and ham, pickles, mashed potatoes, bubble and squeak, maple parsnips. various salads - 5 people
27th - Cold turkey, roasted new potatoes, green salad, olives, pickles. - 3 people
28th - Turkey, ham and leek pie with mash, peas and carrots - 3 people and pie for lunch the following day
29th - Turkey broth, bones boiled for stock, ciabatta bread. - 3 people (Some turkey meat leftover in fridge).
30th (today) Turkey and mushroom pie, with mash, sprouts, carrots, cabbage and peas. - 4 people. We are all full and there is pie left in the fridge for tomorrow. So technically the turkey has lasted until the 31st. :)

Nine is quite a lot to feed on Christmas Day. Would use up most of the turkey.

Ours was a rolled and boned turkey which was a delight to cook....
along with beef. Served 7 on the day, three sandwiches with pickles and HM chips on boxing day, 2 single portions frozen with gravy in the freezer, Chinese turkey curry served 4 on Saturday and the rest frozen in a container to mix with some ham to make a pie later in the month, and no waste.
