I'd use chicken stock so that you maintain the flavour.

Not quite Xmas Dinner leftovers but any suggestions for things to use up pickled red cabbage that is soft (an M&S one, only opened today ) and cream crackers? Got a huge pack of crackers as they were only 59p, but I won't eat them all within a couple of weeks, before they go soft.

    Hi FLUTTERBY,

I have used soft cream crackers up by putting them in a pastic bag and given them a bashing until they look like bread crumbs. I mix grated cheese in with them and use as a crispy topping for cauli cheese. You can freeze it until you need to use it the mix.

Jamie O uses smashed up crackers in a lot of recipes, where you might ordinarily use breadcrumbs; meatballs, homemade burgers and the like.

Well I finally have the house to myself following the Christmas shenanigans so I am embarking on a leftover cookathon using up all the leftover Christmas food. I am aiming for....
Turkey stock to be made into soup (on the hob already)
Potted turkey (for sandwiches and munchie moments)
    Turkey curry (for the freezer)
Clementine and Cointreau marmalade (2012 Xmas pressies)
Leftover Veg and Orange cake (for my tummy :rotfl:)
Chocolate Chip Pannatone and Baileys bread and butter pudding (for the freezer)
Some sort of beef and cheese casserole

What is everyone else doing with their leftovers?

Hello I posted on the other thread but had no response.

I forgot to make my turkey stock yesterday - is it definitely too late now?

I wouldn't normally exceed day four.
