countrygal wrote:Just called them also - they seemed surprised! Tho offered to refund the postage costs without me asking. Very pleasant - they have emailed me a return notice for me to print off and send back recorded delivery with the unit. they'll then send another out.????
No comment about return postage costs with me - if I have to return the replacement I'll get a bit nastier about it though.countrygal wrote:Hope the replacement works. What's the chances?
If its from the same batch, 1 in 3....Wins so far this year: It's been a quiet year so far

Just received mine and guess what?
2 out of 3 don't work!!!
Noticed that on the two that didn't work the bottom seal on the packaging between the cardboard and plastic was broken, but not on the working one.0 -
I have been offered a replacement but she did say it would likely to be from the same batch so opted for the refund incl. postage.
I bet thousands have been sold, they should put an advert up for a product recall instead of ar*ing everyone around! But first, the most asked question:
Q "Is anything worn under your kilt???"
A "No. Everything is in perfect working order Thank You!!."0 -
Misterel wrote:sadly "say No to 0870" have no alternatives listed for this number or for Dataselect.
I have just called DataSelect 'Accounts' 01628 539800 (they answered the phone "Phones International"), then was asked who my mobile company was (?). When I said O2, I was put through to someone else who answered the phone 'Vodafone support"... wow.
I've been offered a refund (maybe not getting the original postage refunded though) but told that there can be no replacements as they have an entire 'bad batch'
So now thet appear to acknowledge the problem as a 'bad batch' but won't offer me a replacement...
I may well cut my losses and run on this one - bad experience from the outsetSmile and be happy, things can usually get worse!0 -
I must be a lucky one. Received on saturday and has been working pretty damn well for 13 quid!0

I intend to make sure on my return form that unless they can guarantee sending a working model (i.e testing it first) then don't bother, and yes I will be asking for a refund of postage as I'm sure sale of goods act would allow me.I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing!

I'm just off the phone, the a*** told me he was sending a returns label, I asked him if it was postage paid and was told yes it is, however on opening my email, I find a useless returns invoice with no postage
These monkeys are a bunch of chancers, if they expect customers to end up £5 or more out of pocket for postage (not forgetting the 0870 charges) then they are in for a rocket, get on the phone folks and give them hell.0 -
I have just spoken with them and the girl said that they had 15000 faulty ones! I was then put through to Sara in returns who told me that I was the first she has dealt with and that postage would not be refunded. Demanded to speak with a manager who was 'busy' and will be ringing me back.
I have paid 2.95 for it to be delivered to me and probably the same for it to go back. I do not intend being out of pocket. Will update.0 -
Maybe Martin could send them a little E-mail, I'm sure they would not like this debacle mentioned on air ?0
