Bluetooth Headset - Bargain !!

I've just emailed them again, via their webform, to say that I understand there is a problem with the whole batch and that I want to know what they are going to do about it, without it costing me any more money (either by 0870 call or return postage)
If I remember the warranty booklet correctly (I'm at work at the moment nd don't have it to hand but I will check when I get home) Siemens states that they will offer an equivalent or better replacement - in which case the next model up should be sent!
As for not refunding return postage, I've been all over the website T&C and can see nothing covering faulty returns - again, there may be something in the warranty booklet.

guess what yes recieve my two today an both faulty with the same charging problem. Will be giving them a call soon. Correct me if i am wrong but it is advertised and billed to the customer as a HHB -610 but ids stamped and recognised as a 600 surely this would be against trading standards aswell as it is not the product which we have all selected.
I think i will be asking for a full refund inculding the cost of return postage. As theys headsets are not fit for te use they are mean to be so a full refund should be required by law.
Quaint1 that is a good point about the warrenty stating that and equivalent or better replacement will be provide but i very much doubt we will see that happening.0 -
Same problem with mine. Rang the 0870 number, and told they would email me a returns label. Asked about postage she said they won't refund because they've posted the item. Asked to speak to supervisor and was put on hold, girl came back and said the supervisor would look into approving a refund on postage.
Will wait and see.0 -
Dear Customers,
Further to being made aware of this forum, can we take this opportunity to explain the current situation on these Bluetooth Headsets.
Our company (Data Select Limited) operates the BenQ Siemens On Line Store on behalf of BenQ Siemens.
Unfortunately, as some of you might be aware, BenQ Mobile UK Ltd has recently filed for insolvency and are currently in Administration.
We purchased these Headsets from the Administrators & decided to offer them for sale at an incredibly low price.
If any customer has any problems with a faulty headset, please feel free to contact us on 0870 126 1085 or email us on info@siemens-shop.co.uk & we will offer a full refund or replacement.
Sincerely,
Dataselect0 -

Hit the thanx button by Mistake.
How come each and every person whom phones your company get different responses?
It also does not state in T&C's about your postage and packaging!
Term 6.1 of the T&C's also state evrything must be signed for on delivery, i for one NEVER put down a signature nor was i asked for one!
Why would we want a replacement when i was stated on the phone that it would be a replacement from the same batch?
It isn't just people from this site whom purchased your faulty goods, many prob. have put them by for xmas etc. so why don't you do a press statement asking for a product recall? It seems you've sold thousands!
I for one will be contacting trading standards tomorrow! But first, the most asked question:
Q "Is anything worn under your kilt???"
A "No. Everything is in perfect working order Thank You!!."0 -
Question for Dataselect Support: What is the actual problem with the headsets?0

Sad though the insolvency is, it doesn't excuse the mixed signals people calling to report problems have been getting. Someone at Dataselect ought to address this issue and fast - before someone in the media takes notice...
I have sent another email, to the address stated in the Dataselect post (odd that they couldn't post their name, but signed off as 'Dataselect') and will be trying to call again tomorrow for an assurance that I will a) not have to pay a penny more to return the dratted thing and b) that I either get a fully working replacement, OR a full refund, including p&p. - nothing in the website T&C specifically excludes the refund of postage.

Where did/does it say on the website that benq/siemens have gone bust!!!
This is fraud, just contact your card provider stating good s have been recieved faulty and the company knew about it on despatch. My card issuer barclays will refund the full amount after 30 days(and the fraudsters wont be getting away with it:beer: )0 -
well, Ive just sent an email asking what the replacement will be and how I can return the faulty unit without recurring addditional costs.
And I see its still for sale on the site

Being in Administration does not mean that they have gone bust, as some might think.
Administration gives a company protection against any action creditors (us) may wish to take against it. The co. cannot go into liquidation nor appoint a receiver.
The purpose of Administration is;
1. To rescue the co. as a going concern
2. to get a better result for creditors than if it were wound up
3. to realise property to pay secured creditors (not us)
Whoever the administrator is, they must work towards 1 of these.
So it can continue to trade and the hope is that it will be restructured in such a way as to rescue it, SO, customers should not suffer (if all goes well).
However, the whole concept is irrelevant to us as we bought from Dataselect so the issue of administration is not our problem, and we should continue to press for replacement items of equal or better value (that actually work)I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing!
