Apology not accepted, as it is not required ;) . Not your fault at all. If you didn't post in the first place then we wouldn't have known about the deal. It's just one of those things that everything was faulty. It's not like we've been conned. I say thanks again for the heads up.

I'd like to second the sentiment here - it was a great deal, even better if they had actually honoured the 3 for 2 they were offering. The headset itself is a lovely bit of kit and was certainly well worth that price (very happy with the working one) - it was just unfortunate that the stock was a poor batch.

Just a shame Siemens couldn't follow through.

To be fair to them it wasn't exactly Siemens any more - its Siemens-BenQ, and in particular phones international/dataselect behind the website and order fullfillment. I'd have to think very carefully before dealing with that outfit again.
Wins so far this year: It's been a quiet year so far :)
  • Just to let you know my one works okay. Very happy with it, just a pity they charged me for two!
  • Mine arrived today, and had the same problem.

Fiddled about for a bit (switched it on, and tried unplugging the charger a few times), and it's charging fine.

Might be worth persevering with it everybody.

Or I might have got lucky.
  • Have just opened mine and can confirm that the battery is a Li-ion polymer 3.7v 100mAh from ATL part number 2901-17
Charging Circuit appears fine but battery will not hold charge for more than 1 sec
Have searched the internet but unable to find a suitable replacement or alternative

But first, the most asked question:

Q "Is anything worn under your kilt???"

A "No. Everything is in perfect working order Thank You!!."

    Hopeless.

    I ordered one.

They've so far sent me two and charged me for two.

    They are currently refunding one.

Now I will have to contact them to refund the second one.

What an incompetent and useless company DataSelect are!!!

  • I mentioned this before but it was in the middle of a long boring paragraph...

If you are trying to charge the headset and it goes from a red light straight to green (constant green not flashing) then turn the headset on and leave the charger plugged into it but switch the socket off (or unplug at the mains) then switch the socket on again. It will hopefully go to constant red and then eventually green after a couple of hours or so.

I have tried this on 2 so far and it has worked a treat.

    Good Luck !!!
