Ha ha that made me chuckle, sorry Woo!
Happy Anniversary!
Glad you're feeling better this morning and that you enjoyed your takeaway with DH last night.
I've got a mountain of ironing to tackle tonight as well - DD is on a mission at the moment to wear every item of clothing available. I normally iron whilst watching something that I've taped that DH won't watch and that keeps me happy for a few hours.
Have a great day x0 -
Hi All,
First day back at work today was fine, actually couldn't sleep last night, how pathetic is that just because i was going back after one week off!!
DH seems to have had a good day looking after everyone, actually he's better than me with them, which obviously i encourage and praise:D
Back aching today as i had a hissy fit yesterday and ripped up the brown shagpile carpet from the hall and stairs and the underlay, yuck to the dust and grot:eek: the worst bit was taking up all the grip strips that seemed to be screwed in but with headless screws (they looked like nail tops).
Anyway came home to DH saying he'd gone back over the lot and got the staples etc out too :j
So now have a real wreck of a hallway but i'm far happier!!
Right, need a good night's sleep tonight, going to watch the Kate Middleton thing and good old Sarah Beeny, see if there's any tips on mice - our's seem to have gone now but we live rurally so they'll be back:eek:

and:eek: about the hall now i know how a grotty hall can get you down, but tut tut ripping the carpet up with your back you must take care hun, are you planning to redo hall?0 -
Glad your first day back went ok
I promise to go to the bank tomorrow and pay in that 11p! xLBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

Hi Polly
I agree with Pennywise, get a cat and you'll never have mice issues, we used to have a cat that only caught rats! It was grim but he earned his keep, we live in the countryside so there was always plenty for him to catch.
The cat that we have now only catches butterflies, what use is that?
My DH is always better at whole days with the kids than I am, I think its novelty factor. Dads always seem to do fun stuff with them whereas we tend to do stuff with them that fits in with all the housework that needs doing that men can just turn a blind eye to.
Take care xx0 -
Morning, very warm and misty here so far, which means it'll be a scorcher when the sun burns through.
Right, yes i wouldn't mind a cat but DH doesn't like them:mad: we always had a cat when i was a child and we never had mouse problems other than the presents!!
Money, need to try and phone CAB when i get home this afternoon and see what's happening.
Did a spreadsheet yesterday to work out the daily interest on the in-laws loan and if we can continue at £500 a month it'll be just over £11k we need to pay back. Not sure if FIL will understand, tried to talk to DH last night but he wasn't in the right zone at all, anyway made me happy to see how quickly it could go:D
Again though really until we know what CAB can agree it's all hypothetical...
Right another day another dollar.
Woo well done on that payment:j
Choo hope your studying, nearly there;)
HWG, i completely understand how you are feeling, i have a wierd girl at work and i just don't like / trust / feel comfortable with, like yours she's off this week and it's so much nicer. Our office is just too biatchy all round and i hate it, but there are not other jobs at the moment and TBH i'd rather my own business than another job anyway!
Hi everyone else, Penny, Cia - hope you're okay honey?
Better go and get ready for work, woop woop:pWeight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs

Morning
I would be pulling my hair out by now waiting to hear from the CAB, patience is not one of my strong points and probably explains the position I got myself in to start with!
I am lucky that no-one is !!!!!y in my office and we are all pretty close. If I moved jobs I could probably earn at least £2k more but am scared I will end up working with people I hate, and I know whats more important to me!LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

Phoned CAB but our advisor was with a client and will phone back, doesn't look like it's going to be today though
Valuation arrived, £10k more than we paid nearly 5 years agoand we've spent way more than that in that time  blasted bankers and their credit crunch.
So 0.8% increase pa on the house and how much debt.
The up side is if DH goes BR there is no equity for the trustee to force a sale, so we should keep the house and that'll be one less stress.
They quoted nearly £5k to sell it as well, so that plus a rental deposit, moving costs etc would mean negative equity because of the secured loan.
Right off to phone Opus who have left a message, phone bill arrived and it's £20 more than usual, that's with all these cc calls
Onwards and upwards people!!
