Morning,
Well first proper day of the holidays and a bit duller than yesterday but yeehaa to being off work for a week:beer:
Smallest child at nursery as it's paid for and means i get some quality(?) time with the two eldest:D
So far in that quality time this morning i've phoned the co about daughter's savings a/c, NHS about a course and HMRC about my tax code (gave up on them after 11 mins of queing) and now HAVE to phone CAB and see what's happening.
DH's contract has not appeared and we're three weeks on from the last meeting and we need to get moving. Not feeling like i want to make the call but...
Need to ask about getting the house formally valued as well just in case there is a possiblity of that being worth more than we owe - don't think so in the current climate.
Back later when i've made the next move.

Hi Polly
I've been reading your diary over the last few weeks and have just popped in to say Good Luck and I've subscribed. Sounds like you've made the right decision if not a difficult choice to make.
Good luck xxx0 -
Thanks Choo, you are very close to being debt free aren't you? How wonderful:j, i thought i could do it myself but when you stand back and look at the size of the debt and our salaries it can't be done and feed the children at the same time.
Phoned CAB, again really nice and calming. They are just waiting for all the cc balances to be confirmed and then they'll be back to us.
I've also emailed an estate agent to get a free valuation just so we know for sure what the current value is from them.
Penny, eating HM pizza and wedges as i type - even better DH HM!!

Hi Polly
Yes we're £7250 away from been debt free and will hopefully do it by December if we stay focused, thats half the battle for me - keeping an eye on whats going on. I think you've done really well so far and made the very difficult decision but at least you'll now have help and will hopefully get debt free quicker.
Take care x0 -
You'll do it Choo:D, i've subscribed to your diary too and i'll be cheering you on:j
Right have £1.32 in my purse (real budgets are in the jamjars) and i am about to cut up my Mint card into tiny weeny little itty bitty pieces and bid it farewell for ever and ever as in debt do we part. It's almost a pity i sold my wedding dress on ebay as i feel i should be wearing it as part of the divorce:cool:

Ohh i'm going to have to go and lie down, not only have i phoned the local council about a special uplift for our hall carpet, 70s brown shagpile (see Penny this is all your hall talk) but i've got a valuer coming round on Thursday to see what this place is worth in it's current state.
An hour or so till DH is home, i should beg the children to take the phone away incase i have any more bright ideas:D

Mutual support Penny:D:D
DH home and in the kitchen, so i'm safe now;)
Now we just need to decide if we want a high valuation, so we could sell and get out of this mess, or a low valuation so if one of us goes BR the other can buy them out as no equity means the Trustee isn't interested in selling as there is nothing to be gained...Weight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs

Only pulling your leg, hope it all goes well with the valuation.0

Morning, sun is shinning here today and hopefully we're off to see Rio at the pictures, flipping costly though, couldn't get the £1 Kids movie thing, looks like you have to book in advance and pay £2.10 extra charge to book!!
So we'll go and see if we can get tickets for today and quiz a spotty youth about the £1 tickets.
Need to get a pressie for Aunt who will be 60 on Friday, don't have a clue what to get??
Other than that it's just the constant declutter and get ready for the valuation.
Meeting up with a friend and her two children tomorrow so that should be good.
