Hee hee :rotfl:. 8 years working in the probation service and I only know weed as drugs :o. I think Sierra is much better :).

  • :rotfl: Em, I suppose so. I thought I must change it as I do post outside dfw and I don't always turn my sig off so thanks for pointing it out.

So day's have gone by and I haven't updated, thats because there is nothing really to update with. Everyday but one since last posting has been a NSD so thats 19/25 I think :D The only spends day I had was Friday when I when I got petrol (budgeted) but also got some food (£6.00). That same day I also got 200l of compost for the garden (£6) and some reduced pots/propagator/sheets (£10.32). So I have spent £22.32. That leaves £29.14 until payday :j My second calculation wasn't correct, sadly :( I have also lent Mum £12 on my CC for her MOT but that will be payed off before any charges.

So with the £29 I want to buy some concreate for my posts, my mobile credit (I am now dipping into my £6 buffer), and then I will have £10 floating. I still have another budgeted tank of petrol so thats not a problem.

Not long until my week off work which will save me about £10 in petrol :T
  • NSD today, spends day 24th and 25th.

On the 24th - £14 in B&q for garden stuff, the concreate was £6 and then I purchased some more seeds, bucket and nails. I got my credit so free calls next month and I also downloaded 4 books to my kindle, £1.71 with the remaining g/v money in the account.

On the 26th - Very unexpected. I was on my last pair of work trousers (we have to supply them) it was getting the the point I was sewing them up daily :o I also ended up in hospital so... £32 on 2 trousers, socks, cream, tablets, magazine (!) and some reduced food. The worse thing is it ended up on the CC. It was that or the petrol in a few weeks.

I think I am going to aim for a no spend month next month. I will budget £20 emergency and thats it. Argos must all but go next month, fed up with them now :rotfl:

    Hospital? Hope you're ok xxx
  • Sorry for the late reply Dangers. Yes I am fine, while working in the garden a pest ended up biting me through my gloves. Over the night and while at work my hand started swelling so was sent to a&e. Perfectly fine now after cream and tablets but I suppose its a side effect of gardening.

So playing with my figures - Income £850 (min), then my main bills and 2 tanks of petrol is £584.50, this excludes grocerys. So that would leave almost £270 for Argos :D Leaving only £78.95 to pay in October :T If I get anything over then I will re evaluate it, maybe I can get some cloches for my garden while they are in the sale :D
  • Today is NSD number 26 :j target reached. Next month I will aim for 24/30, with the wish to get 30/30. I will also pledge to spend no money at work from now until 1st October, by that I mean food/vendor stuff, packed lunches are 'free' :D

Thursdays job is to look through my foods in the cupboard and make a list of desperate foods I need on payday. I will certainly need cup drinks and crisps for work but those I can buy in bulk so will save a good £10+. I have about 30 cup a soups to use so while on holiday that and crackers will be my staple :rotfl:

Oh and changed my sig to something funny ;)There is no way on earth I would be a fruaglista with regards to clothes as I never follow fashion but I am slowly trying to buy less and less, plus this 'grow you own' is getting serious :o

  • Final total for August's NSD, 27/25 :j

So today is September, wow 6 months through the year already. Sadly today will not be a NSD. I filled my car up (budgeted) but I also took a trip to the village for food supplies. After looking through my cupboards I think I can last until payday but I did need some f&v. So spent...

    38p - milk*
    63p - bread
    75p - onions*
    £1.20 - 12 crumpets
    50p - bread*
    50p - bread
    £1.00 - 4 cans
    50p - mushrooms*
    50p - salad pototoes*
    £1 - 4 peachs
    £1 - 4 nectarines
    £1 - 2kg potatoes
    £1 - 3 baking potatoes
    55p - 4 fresh beetroot
    98p - 4 apples
£1 - reusable bag (as I only took one)

    £6.50 - Avon order

    =£18.99

Everything with a * was reduduced, Mum will use the milk hence the purchase. I have been taking bread to work for toast so thats why there are three loafs of bread. I purchased a value one from the supermarket before going into the newsagents where they sometimes have loafs for 50p, this time it was warburtons (a luxary in our house) so I got two and put two loafs in the freezer. It is starting to urn but if you toast it you can't tell the difference ;)

Potatoes are now a staple (well in the last two months), instead of buying chips/waffles etc we chip our own. All those potatoes will last until payday and if the kids come around there are salad potatoes. The Avon order is my 6 bottles of shampoo and some cream I ordered last month. That should last until the new year, which means I only need handcream (from Lush) and maybe some bars of soap.

I am all set for all my wage going towards debt this month. There is a birthday I have to chip in for but I will address that on payday. Hopefully I will get more than my min which means I can eat this month. If not I will have to pay less to Argos, I hope not so fingers crossed
