The semi joys of itunes... A little story... So I am prob the stupid one but I like to be legit and I don't want others very hard work to be unrewarded so I purchase the majority of my music through itunes. As I started walking/running and using public transport yet I gave up my ipod/shuffle. My ipod is broke anyways but I make it usuable with gaffer tape :rotfl: But back to the subject, so yesterday nearly an hour after plugging my ipod in (last plged into pc October) its updated and works :j But the best thing was I found £8.75 credit in my account. My last purchases were in October so I now have 8 new tunes.... little things please skint people
BUT worse bit they have now increased to 99p each so I am 33p short for one more songHappiness and devastation in one hit :rotfl:
Just a funny story to entertain you. So today a NSD, and I have had my hours altered in work, so off for a wobble :rotfl:0 -
:rotfl: I love that new saying Pap - 'little things please skint people'. I remember a while back when I was still skint and I found £5 in a coat pocket - I was overjoyed. My OH said I acted like I had won the lottery!! :rotfl:
Well done on the NSD, I'm joining you on that, apart from a bill I had to pay.

:rotfl: We have to laugh Em or else we will cry!
NSD number 2/25However the food situation may be a hard one. Today I kid you not I had dry berry Rivita at work, tomorrow no doubt it will be a stange combo too. Has to be done! I do have £5 tesco vouchers on there way but I wanted to exchange it for a £10 pet food voucher, at this rate I will have to use it on food. I hope Mum can drive us to tesco though. I am 39 miles into a 230 mile tank and I still have at least 10 working days left.
There is no way what I/we have here will last until payday in September so I have to get food. So I thought, if I clear the credit card, it takes a day to show on the account. I can then use that to purchase food, and food only? Seems doable, even if it is £40 new on the card at least I can eat. The best bit is it is helping my calorie consumption as I darn't eat anything extra because it can be used for a meal :rotfl:
If only we could have our wage slip before the pennies hit our bank account, I wouldn't be worring so much if my wages are set to be above min
Another day down :j0 -
Well done Pap :T. I agree that you have to eat!! Why don't you see how far you can get and then buy some food when you need to?
Another NSD for me too

Thanks Em, yes I think that is what I will do. I went through the cupboards today and managed to throw together at least a weeks meal plan but we will see. Today I used up the last of the caster sugar and made cakes, I also made flapjacks/nutty things that I can take in my lunch box :T
So 4 NSD's now, and things are looking up as Mum gets payed next Friday and she owes me £21That however will have to be put aside for a birthday gift, a close friend is having a milestone birthday that day too so I will use that to get a small gift and a card. The only thing I forgot about was a promise I made to a friend to go to the movies to see the smurfs. I am really regreting that now but whats done is done, so that will be £7 unexpected outgoings around payday
Nevermind, only 10days till payday :T0 -
Still on the NSD waggon, well its hard not too when you have no pennies to rub together.
I have been thinking about life/spends today and thinking what I actually need rather than want. So my idea is to list everything today I would love to buy if I had the pennies. Then as the days/weeks go on I can see if I actually need them rather than want them. So my little list is...
Apollo mobile - £99
Running socks - £4.30
Sports bra - £30.00
Zumba 360 - £28.00
Pillow cases - £7.00
Dr Who cross stitch - £3.13
Quilling paper - £20.00
My hope is that some of those may get removed. If not they can always wait until christmas :rotfl:
Now off to make tea, more sausages0 -

Only because I get the better stuff from across the pond Beanie. You can buy loads on ebay for 99p each but the quality is shocking. I would rather pay the $10 shipping charge and get good quialty stuff. Also its only because I want the thicker 4mm paper so I can make minatures with/for the kids. Those packs are $5.20 for 100 pieces. Whereas the 2/3mm pieces I use are only $2.30 for 100 pieces. Also because of the shipping I try and wait until I place a big order but not enough to trigger import taxHence why that may be a christmas thing, I can get the stuff on ebay to keep me going.
