Aww no Beanie, will you lose much money then? What a pain :(

So it failed :( On a the headlight aim being too low... But they fixed it and passed it without even phoning :D Total cost £57. However I have 4 advisorys, I need a new tyre soon, windscreen wipers (I knew about these) and new indicator bulbs as mine are fading :o But at least its not parked up until payday :T I have £30.90 to last until payday and that includes fuel.

So now I am going to sit down and sort out my budget for next month and until christmas to see how I am getting on. I still want my CC cleared this month and at least £100 payed off Argos if possible as the 0% ends on that in December...

Juggle and Plod, Juggle and Plod :rotfl:
  • Found wipers and bulbs on ebay that will cost me £11.22. So working on my budget this month, I can clear my CC, pay £86 from my Argos debt this month and buy the bulbs/wipers. This will wipe out my wage unless I get more than I use as my base pay.

I have worked out if I pay £86 a month Argos will be cleared in November when I will then close this form of credit :T Obviously in the coming months I will be throwing any excess to all my debts to reduce them faster. Mum still owes me £697.xx so that will all be going towards debts when its slowly drip feed to me :D

So I will be card free (again) by December :j

She does, but it doesn't stop her asking for more inbetween paydays  I don't get it, her only debt is to me and my Argos card (wahing machine) yet she still can't manage her wage. Sad really, especially when there will come a day when I will leave home and she will be up the creak :o

PAP, I know it's hard but you have to stop lending to your mum - otherwise when you do go, she'll be going to payday loans  - maybe help her with a budget? Encourage her to split her wages into envelopes for weekly spends/food etc?

Gem I understand what you are saying but its really hard, we have been here before many diarys ago. I don't think I could help her budget, all I know is her bills are £754 without petrol, groceries and spends. I think she gets about the same basic wage as me £850, plus £120 from me and £180 from my brother. On payday she fills the car up and does one big shop and that usually lasts the month as she/we cupboard eat for the last week before payday's.

The thing is I just found out she pays the entire Virgin bill  Thats all the boxes and my brother internet, we origianaly had 3 boxes but because lil bro ordered a recordable one only last month we now have four and only one really gets used :o However his internet bundle is the highest avalible and he hasn't paid it in at least 6 months, it angers me more than anything! So if/when he does go we will get rid of one or two of the boxes and the internet saving in the region of £60pm.

However in other news, I have saved myself some money :T Instead of buying a new desk and fitting it upstairs on the landing (I have the box room), I have moved my main pc downstairs onto the dining table. It's not really used to eat from and was a dumping ground I hated so taking it over I hope it kills two birds with one stone ;) It means I can use BP without it crashing my netbook and I have access to all my files/music etc :D
  • Its the 1st of the month :j Shame we are now in the latter part of the year, its 2010 all over again. Anyway as its now a new month I think I should pledge NSD's. I know there is a seperat thread but it gets so busy and I can't keep up with anyone and it seem's silly just posting my NSD's. So I will keep it in the diary, so I am pledging 25 out of 31, I know its seems mad but I need to clear this CC and I don't think I will have anything left so it makes sense. My rules are if its in my budget I can still count it as an NSD, if I buy something that isn't in my budget it's a spend day.

    So this months budget,
    £180.00 ~ Rent
    £10.50 ~ House Insurance
    £35.00 ~ BT
    £19.00 ~ Dog Insurance
    £140.00 ~ Loan
    £80.00 ~ petrol
    £10.00 ~ RAC
    £140.00 ~ Car Saves
    £86.00 ~ Argos
    £11.22 ~ Wiper & Lights
    £242.98 ~ CC

    £894.80

So that will leave me prob with £0 left but my CC will be clear. For groceries I am living off my cupboards and freezer. I am also helping Mum clear some of it by having the same meals as her but getting it free iyswim. I got my last f&v this morning and hopefully when Mum gets payed I will get a small amount so that can give me some more before my payday.

So thats me, slowly but surely I will get to grips with the situation I am in :T

    Hi Pap

I'm with you on the NSDs this month. I am so skint and my wages are all spoken for.

    We can do it :j.

    Emz xx
  • We can Em, well I have to. Any wages I get extra than above will go to Argos if i can get through August I can do anything :T I have also just found this by Rictus, looks very good, I have been reading the article. I think once the CC is clear I am going to try a 'month' of this prob Octobers payday. I should then be able to clear Argos that month, looks promising :D

I shall be following your progress on your diary Em, you can do it!
