What cross stitch pattern did you get? I've got loads of unfinished ones in the attic... Maybe one day they'll get finished.

This one Dangers :) If you look under the 'your work' mine previous work is there ;) If you need motivation come over to the cross stitch thread, many there have had UFO's (unfinished objects) for years and finished them with our support.

I will be so glad when I go back to work :rotfl: Yesterday my tv died (as did everyones in our area), so I rented two movies £6. Now today Mum said I wasn't looking well, ummm ok, so I we went out and bought chocolate and a basket of other junk. Plus strimmer wire and a apple cutter in a 99p shop. So basically I took out £20 and now have £7.20. That means I now have £106.35 in my bank :o

Now I am pledging I will have NSD's until Tuesday at the earliest. The only exceptions is paying for my threads (£8), if I get a prescription tomorrow (£8? don't know the charge now), postage (£3ish) and if I decide to buy a sewing box (max £30). I am still hoping to have £50 to pay towards my CC before payday but its looking unlikely. But the positive is I have now cut my CC up so its not as if I can overspend on this when that moneys gone :T

I so have to get my spending under control but I think being home and not at work doesn't help :o

NSD :j A well needed one, I have also made a few changes in the last 24hrs which will save me lots of pennies...

So I am not going to get a sewing box, the plastic one I have now will surfice until I have more disposable income. It just means my charts/mags will have to be kept upstairs but I don't truely need them all down here anyway. I will also be removing anything I don't need straight away (ie kits) and photographing them as a log on my pc. That then means I can store all my threads (the dog's new fave play thing) and needles safely. So saved at least £15 :D

I also changed fatclubs last night. After coming off the cure I went back calorie counting (£10) a month but my heart wasn't in it. I let everything slip and with my medical problems I still need to lose a chunk of weight. So I went on WW in Feb (£59 for 6 months) but all I have done is collect mags for that and gained 2lbs :o So I am going back calorie counting using a free website :T Thats at least £10 saved per month.

The only other thing I am not happy with is my internet bill (£35 per month, includes line rental) but its locked until December and if I drop a package the contract will restart  I think in December I will be purchasing a PAYG dongle because I just can't justify that much on the internet anymore. Even if I top up £20 a month thats still a huge £15 saving, thats the house insurance cost. Shame I can't leave early :(

Other than that a good day, haven't heard back for the threads and will send the letter tomorrow. Best bit, No prescription and I can go back to work :j :j I will have 3 weeks until payday and I hope that this tank of petrol holds out, that will mean £40 extra for my CC :D It should do as I still have about 250miles left, I may steal lift's too, to be cheeky :rotfl:

So not a bad day all around. Will be back tomorrow, no doubt with some spends :o

Edit... seller of the threads just emailed me and she doesn't have any of the colours in stock  Will now have to find a supplier thats as cheap as the seller on ebay *sigh* :o

What threads are they Pap? Is it full things of thread you need or just a decent length of them (sorry, but icant think of the correct word so hope you know what I mean). if they are the type I have in the attic, I don't mind looking some out for you.
  • Beanie, thanks I understand a bit with ebay beacuse there are thousands of threads but I have this feeling really becayse they were super cheap.

Dangers, oppps wish I saw this yeasterday :o It's the full threads (skeins) that I needed, ie the ones you buy in HC. As it was the person I purchased the chart from was the cheapest so got them all for £9.40 inc postage. So not overly bad :D

    So spends today were...
£9.40 threads and £4.49 in co-op (chocolate, cream, coke and miranges (sp?) for a dessert I made tonight and more for tomorrow.

So purse, £2.71 and £96.95 in my bank :o I am just on my way to bed but on my way I need to find my savings passwords so I can transfer the car stuff savings as that is still sat in my bank account.

Have a good weekend all, tomorrow will be a NSD and Monday I need to post that item and I will try and get the frame for this gift. So i should be back then ;)
  • So just sorted my car saves, I had a few pounds in the account anyway so that now has £186.56 in. My MOT is Aug so next months payday I will hold onto my car saves (£140) to pay for that. Fingers crossed it passes. I also found some pennys in my other current account so I payed that off my credit card (£4.48) so than now stands at £193.50.
So all going the right way :T Today will be a NSD as I am going nowhere :rotfl:

So not a good week so far :o

Monday I went out to get a frame for my wedding gift. Only before I went I looked in my cupboards and decided I really needed to go shopping. I can't remember when I did a full shop last its mostly been top-ups. So I went to tesco spent £40 (usual budget) and then Mum spent £18 (which she will give me payday). Then of course it was the usual costa run :o £8.00 I think that was. No frame, but food to last until payday :T

So today I decided I must get this frame, otherwise it would be a payday thing... So frame and coffee, £19.20 :( More than I wanted to spend but the stitching is an odd size and I don't really want to use my petrol to go to Ikea.

So after taking out £40 for my tank of petrol (hoping to pay off the CC) I have £14.45 left. I owe Mum £5.00 of that because I ordered some Avon which I forgot about, all shampoo and needed so not all bad. So that leaves £9.45 until payday :o The problem comes when I need to pay £20 sponsor money to someone and I have a party to go to Friday (need gift/card/drinks). So I am thinking do I chance it with my petrol and use that money for the sponsor money and Friday (one drink each) or do I turn down the party and just pay the sponsor money and then have £20 buffer for pertrol... Ummm. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to cut the credit card up before then end of this month :rotfl:
    [FONT=&quot]
Also I need to adjust my budget for next month as I have the wedding to go to then so I guess a handful of drinks for both me and Mum :o Why is it I am NEVER invited to anything then two come along at once

Not long till payday, thank heavens :j

Can you not put £20 petrol in the car instead of the £40? Do you need to pay your mum the Avon money seeing as she owes you money?

Thanks Dangers, yes the petrol will be fine as a top up. I have about 270miles left in the tank that should last until payday but I worry and would rather do a top up than run it dry and end up with it in the garage. The Avon thing, its actuall £4 a owe now, no she 'needs' it. Yes she is skint, I know that as I have subbed her food/fag money so yes she does need the £4 :o I will get the £18 on payday, plus some of the other she owes me hopefully. I keep reminding her ;)

So in effect I have £54.45 to play with, if I do the following I should do ok...
    £4.00 Mum
£10.00 card, £5 in card/bottle of beer as prezzie
£5.00 (plus change from above) drinks at party
    £20.00 sponsor money
    £15.00 petrol

That means no overpayment to the credit card but things could be worse :o I am just doing some work from dayjob and then I will work on my budget, joy :T
