Understandable Beanie, but its a charity I 'like', I don't give monthly, it was sponsered ages ago and I forgot (hence not in budget). Its done now but in future I will put money aside when I write on the form :o
  • Never did come back with a budget :o Finished the work, posted on DT and then fell asleep, so a better late than never... I am working on the fact I will get nominal pay, what with holiday and sickness but if I recive anymore pennies I will adjust accordingly.

    £120.00 – Rent
    £10.50 – House Insurance
    £35.00 – BT
    £19.00 – Dog Insurance
    £140.00 – Loan
    £80.00 – Petrol
£140.00 – Car saves (mot this month will transfer anything not used)
    £100.00 - Argos
    £100.00 - CC
    £744.50

    Leaving £105.50
  • Car's broke :( Yesterday after a 3hr wait for the RAC it turns out a clip and rod in my clutch has gone. Its now sat outside the garage waiting for the parts to arrive. I have had to transfer £185 out of my savings account, I am hopeing it will be less than that but you never know. This means I will have to wait until after my MOT to transfer the £100 to my CC just incase that is more.

Ho hum, at least I am saving petrol :T

  • Yes Beanie, but as I said to the Rac you either pay the car off (on finace) or you pay for repairs on an old car. I know which I would rather ;) It was a long time but it was rush hour after all.

So its fixed and I have it back :T I haven't payed for it yet but I will go and pay them as soon as the payment hits the account. Out of the £185 I transfered I will have £35 left. I don't know if I should transfer this back into my savings or pay it off the CC?

Next month I wanted to pay £100 extra off the CC but I won't be able to do that until the MOT has been done, that leaves £240 for the MOT. Depending on the cost any extra will go into saves and on the CC. Tax is due in October, I will purchase 6 months (online) then in April buy a year, that means I have the Tax in thr first 6 months and MOT in the last 6 months :T

So do you think this £35 should go back to savings or off my CC?

Edit - its in account so will pay it tomorrow :T
  • :o Lent £20 to Mum so going to keep the £15 rolling until payday. Don't need anything so it should be put towards my groceries for July.

I am think a bit ahead of myself but I don't know if I should be good (pay off debt) or have a few days off.

I have always wanted to visit Exmoor park, Mum has always said its too close for a holiday (2hrs max) so we have never went. I promised myself years ago once I passed my test I will have a road trip camping, I have never done it through lack of a car. Anyways I have holiday due in September and November and I am tempted. B&B costs are approx £120 for three nights, if I camp its approx £36 for three nights, but (and its a big but) we no longer have any tents as we gave them away when we moved. So if I were to camp I would need a tent, max cost £50, so would still be cheaper than B&B but I can't camp at some places in November so I will have to go in September.

So if I were to do it it will cost approx £50 this month, £36 in August plus food (max £30). I will be doing free things (mainly walks) while down there so it will cost nothing while there. But of course its the extra petrol getting there.

I would love to but I would feel a little guilty. Depending on MOT this month I should reduce my debt to 0% till Dec 1st £310.05 and <3% £93.50. If I went away I would prob min payment on the CC in Aug and £10 on 0%. If I didn't go away I could prob clear the CC and reduce the 0% by £100...

    Mmmm decisions

What do you actually want to do there? Can you not do it as a day trip. It should take you less than two hours to get there. Just beware that tahe road betwwn Bridgwater and Minehead is windy and takes longer than it looks!

Walk mainly, I want to visit Tarr steps and Wimbleball lake. You are right I can prob do it as day trips which will be cheaper, its 2 hours to get to Tarr steps and 30min from there to Wimbleball lake. So prob 5hrs traveling all in. Not too bad I suppose, its the longest I would have ever driven in one day though... Maybe next year then, they arn't exactly going anywhere :rotfl:

I know I have been AWOL for what seems like forever, I know I ramble and make no sense, I also am glad not many read/post here but I just need to use it as an outlet. Its the only place I can write down my thoughts/feeling regarding money, so as its payday... Here goes :rotfl:

I was sick in my last 'month' so I got basic pay £887.xx. Not to bad although I would have prefered more, wouldn't we all
;) I also received £60 from Mum, £40 for her washing machine repayment and £20 she used for Tesco shopping. I am now skint, this having a car is great for freedom but now I realise why I waited so long :rotfl:

    Budget

    Income - £947.xx

    £120.00 – Rent

    £10.50 – House insurance
    £35.00 – BT
    £19.00 – Dog insurance
    £140.00 – Loan
    £80.00 – Petrol
    £240.00 – Car
(usually car saves, mot this month anything not used will be put towards CC)
    £141.10 - Argos
    (payment of £101.10 from me + mum's £40)
    £17.00 – Avon
(4 new bras and 2 shampoo)
    £9.37 – hobby craft
(mountboard, pins and tape for wedding present, visit 1)

    Todays spends -

    £39.33 - Groceries
    £13.12 - Asda
(top and vest for wedding, card and gift bag)
    £3.00 - Hobby craft
(card etc for wedding present, visit 2)
    £10.00 - CC payment
    £10.00 - Coffee/Lunch
    £10.00 - In purse

    Total = £897.42

    £45.46 left in bank
    :o

    Debt as it stands -
    £308.95 (0%), [FONT=&quot]£185.98 (3%) and 22months on loan.

Shocking reading really isn't it, ah well not much I can do about it now. Next month maybe a little more better. There is nothing I need to buy this month but I am watching some computer desks on ebay <£5 as I want to set my main pc back up and I don't have a desk. I also want to buy some new running socks these are about £5, which I will do later tonight once I find a cheapish pair. I will also need some money for the wedding Sunday but I hope its <£10.

So thats me, I am also going to save change to buy a new phone. I don't have my main Orange phone anymore which is fine as I have my Tmobile bargain. However that phone drains battery and is far to slow for me and as its now my emergancy phone while driving... I have seen one I love for £99.95 so in true Em style I will be saving for it, so far I have £1.49 :rotfl:

Thats me for another month :T Take care all :D
