hex (and anyone else who is behind on the decorations) there's a pic of my emergency wreath replacement on FB... I have precisely 3 evergreens (apart from the hedge), but have managed to cobble something together!

It's trying to snow again :(

Right, some furniture shifted from one bedroom to another, I've shifted the mattress too so hubby can dismantle the bed when he gets home from work and reassemble it in other bedroom.

I'm not lugging anymore though as my back hurts and has for a few days.

Wrapped nearly all family pressies, just remembered got a few in a box downstairs to wrap but majority DONE. Can I just say I fuggin HATE that job!!

Emptied bathroom and bedroom bins as overflowing.

DD2 is sorting the kitchen, bless her, she's doing a very thorough job and clearing up all the mess her mucky Mum (me) leaves behind.:o

Turkey out of freezer, in fridge to defrost.

Also some giant prawns that need eating so figured they might as well be scoffed.

Rightio, off to office, then collect some bits and pieces and then home. I've got a right blank on for goodies, I'll see what about when I go out.

I have spuds and parsnips, I may buy ready made chipolata's with bacon and those kind of thingys.

Am I starting to feel festive yet.......NOPE....

Laundry organised, DW emptied and refilled, lunch scoffed. Just finishing off with a coffee and some nice biscuits, then I'm back to sorting the LR of Doom. We WILL have a tree by tonight!

Suggested to DS1 that he is now taking the mickey - he had the cheek to ask about food. Think he regrets it.

It's gone very dark outside. We've had snowflakes in the air for a while, but it's not amounting to much yet. Best keep an eye on the trains for DH and DS2 to get back from M'hell as I don't fancy going to pick them up.

Lil_me - I'm about to do the same with my Thorntons order. Will phone them and ask for a refund unless they can guarantee delivery today. No idea where to get lots of fancy chocs from now (at a price I can afford), so I best make a list of what's essential. They must be losing so much money this year!

    OK, break over!

    Afternoon all,

Well Moon and I went out to Starbucks for breakfast this morning, and got our free bag of Christmas Blend coffee (would've cost £4.25 if we'd paid for it :money:), and we got the last bag, so it was a good job we went when we did. I did look out for LadyL :hello:, but I hope that she has now managed to collect her DS and was spending quality time at home with him instead.

Hugs for mudbath and to soappie for your respective injuries - hope they don't hurt too much. Sending pain-free vibes to both of you and to lil_me and anyone else who needs them at the moment.

Congratulations to kaz - I seem to have missed what happened somehow, but pleased things are now looking up for you all. :T

Fingers crossed for you Mazzarati at 4 o'clock - it's a good sign that they want to interview you again, and good news that you have another option too.

Got home from town, and Moon had to go straight out with his friend to go shooting. Friend came in with his doogie, who pooed in the garden (the friend cleared it up luckily), and then the friend walked mud through the house on his way out to the bin to put it out there. Both of us cleared that up. I've also put a load of washing away and tried to declutter the place a bit downstairs, as the place was a bit of a tip when he came, and I've normally tried to clear up a bit when he comes over.

Not feeling brilliant today. Have had really bad period pains (wonders if the S-test on Friday has caused these as haven't had these for a while), and with them, have had a bit of an upset tummy too (possibly from the food we had the friend's house - prawns and fishy nibbles - hence the gurgling yesterday), so will be getting myself a wheatbag or hot water bottle in a minute once I've finished with the housework.

I didn't manage to get all of the washing done yesterday after all, but only have a couple of loads left to do today, which is good anyway, as I went into the bedroom after doing everything yesterday and found that Moon had left about 6 dark t-shirts, a couple of jumpers and a few pairs of socks etc on the floor to go in the darks wash, and hadn't put them in the basket.

We're going out to carols, mince pies and mulled wine at the pub at the end of the road tonight, so hoping things improve.

Well I'm off to empty the DW and do a bit more flying in the living room and kitchen in case the friends we are meeting at the pub come over for a cuppa afterwards.

    Off I go ........

Good luck Mazzarati - I'll be thinking of you at 4 and sending you positive vibes.

Sexymouse, hope you feel better soon and the pains go quickly. I've got that to look forward to some time over the weekend - great isn't it.
