    Afternoon all

Been out to take DS2 to the GP - his treatment is finished and GP and DS very happy with the results. We also picked some last minute presents at the garden centre (we were the only customers); some bread from the bakers (and a breakfast bap as a treat for DS2 and sustenance); last minute food bits collected from waitrose (busy but not mad and with quick check no queueing :j); delivered last few cards - just need to pop out tomorrow with 2 more and a present.

    G&B get well vibes

Kaz so pleased at the positive outcome and that the whole sorry affair has ended

Happy birthday Onestep - have a lovely day

    Mudbath
and Soappie, I hope your bruises are healing.

Some washing hanging round, I've cleaned the bathroom/toilet. I've ironed (yes me, I got the iron out!) my Christmas tablecloth and it's hanging from a trouser hanger on the end of my wardrobe.

I've sorted out the larder so I can start bringing down the Christmas stuff (pickles, biscuits etc) gradually. If I bring down a couple of things everytime I come downstairs I'll get it done without puffing up and down the stairs!

Not caught right up yet, so I hope nobody else has fallen down or anything.

Toots if you're watching, I hope you are doing OK. All the best to you and Lady L.
  • and the guy supposedly coming yesterday, then this morning for the shower, now isn't going to be here until the afternoon....

Could have done some shopping to make up for DD's presents not being delivered

Now I have to wait for him again this afternoon!

Yes, that's them. We've had 6 on them sat on our cherry blossom tree and they keep going back there. They've been eating the berries on our pyracantha (sp?)

Front path cleared and salted - path made to edge of pavement (so I can find the edge) for when I venture out - icicles dislodged.

kaz - very pleased to read that news.

mudbath - ouch! Laughed a bit at the free nose job though...

Triker - definitely buy ready made and enjoy being with your family.

greenbee - drooling over the chocolates, I'm coming over with hex and mumof2 (have I got the right mum?? think so...)

Several lots of washing done today. The boys' bedlinen is in at the moment. I'll be cleaning the bathroom this afternoon, and making mince pies. Probably not at the same time...;)

I wanted to wrap up DD's present I got yesterday - and discovered it ws damaged, so had to take it back for a refund. Unfortunately, TKMaxx didn't have another one, so I shall have to try and get into town tomorrow and see if I can source one.

Right, off to Argos to collect DS2's curl bar (?? some exercise thingy - he's coming with me, just in case it's heavy, to avoid a repeat of last year's embarrassing episode when I couldn't actually lift the weights he'd asked for...)
