Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
Thanks, dusty. I'll take it out later today when I've got some space on the worktop.
2 toys for DS2 reserved at an argos store only a few minutes away - I'll call tonight on the way to Mr M's. :j I've also texted DH the break order for Friday and the code for the hoover bags.
Decluttered breakfast of sliced banana, plain greek yogurt with honey and some mixed seeds scattered on top. Yum!
Will phone DS1 next - he can take DS2 into town and work through a little list: hair cut, DH's present from the kids, DH's birthday card, lunch at their fav cafe (a really cheap cybercafe with a very nice owner).0 -

Morning All
Realised I haven't poked my head around the door this week yet
Mumto5 Ouch honey .... hope you managed to sleep ... take it easy & delegate xx
Mudders Hope DH is better soon ... love to you xx
Sexy Glad you had a good time last night ... curl up with black furry & get some sleepxx
I hope all those with bumps/bruises etc feel better ....Have a good day ladies - don't get too stressed about Christmas - it's only a roast dinner with a couple of gifts on the side after all.
soappie This really rang true .... I simply can't "do" Christmas this year ... once I accepted that fact I was ok ... it's just kinda passing me by ... quite nice in a way to lose the stress ..... I have to be realistic & think this could potentially be my last (sorry don't want to depress everyone) however it is also my DS's 21st Birthday on Xmas day so we will "celebrate" that
Love & hugs to you all .... take time for yourselves & appreciate your loved ones, you never know what you have until it's gone xxxx“Cancer has my body but not my spirit, and I’ll continue to make jokes, not so much about cancer, but in spite of it” Irwin Barker0 -

Where the heck are those Christmas flannel pyjamas??:D
OMG him indoors cleaned the hob!
and tidied the fridge!
and moved the stuff from under the kitchen table!
Which makes up for the shopping trip in which we didn't buy any veg as he wanted to get stuff with the longest possible sell by date....
Men, eh??:rotfl:
Meal in town cancelled due to everybody being v.tired and fed up with travelling. So I'm going to ensure there's enough space in the freezer for some of that cheap Ben and Jerrys!‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Not doing too bad today though I'm beginning to run out of steam.
So far this morning I've paid the credit card bill, transferred the girls Christmas money into their accounts (no idea why older relatives don't think the girls might have their own accounts), done a cursory tidy of the playroom (that will be Christmas Eve project), WM is on for the second time and DW is doing its thing - though I've had to unblock the outlet pipe numerous times.
I also started to write yet another shopping list and then decided (having seen the scary bank balance) that I have enough food to last a month and would only end up spending pointlessly. So dd2 can help me make cookies for the lovely Nursery staff who look after her on a Thursday instead of the tin of chocs I was going to buy. Cheaper and fun for dd2 so win-win all round.
Dd1 has a friend round this morning and I'm baby sitting my niece this afternoon so really must get on.
Hugs to all especially those who are feeling fragile today.
