Hi All,
Food shopping sorted now & a few bits done (DW etc), must crack on with the list tomorrow, but I have an interview at 11am!!! :-) so aiming to get up early & do a bit & then leave plenty of time to get ready & there. Trying not to get too excited, (&managing reasonably well), but can't help feeling much more positive as they contacted me when they heard about my current situation (I used to do business with the company).....wish me luck (pls).....that would really make our Christmas. Seriously though, unlikely that I will know anything anytime soon & not even sure they actually have a specific position available, but feel I should go as they asked.....fingers crossed....
Must get letter off tomorrow too......
Hugs to Mumto5, Soappie, Helenjelly, Ishtar, Greenbee, The LW's, Toots, L-L & all who need/want them, hope I haven't missed anyone (& VERY sorry if I have).
Night All xxx0 -
Evening all
Hugs to everyone in pain or going through a rough patch.
Lil_me - I spoke to a colleague today who had paid extra for an amazon delivery on a specific day. When it didn't arrive on time she let them know that she didn't want it anymore and got the refund process started while the item was still in transit. She'd been to town and bought it herself in the meantime.
Still no Thornton's chocs or DH's ipod. I decluttered 2 hours in M'hell, which was bearable. Another hour or so would have allowed me to finish the lot, but DH is still sulking, so he didn't come with me and wanted me back at half nine. The aim is to be out really early tomorrow, hopefully with the DSs keeping each other company at home. No progress in the house though, as I was shattered when I got back, but the costco stuff is done, at least.
I'll see you all in the morning.

Mudders hope your DP is better soon, how lovely to have nice neighbours over too x
Soappie ((hugs)) for the dented dignity....I did a 'Bambi' earlier too. If it was DPs Mother it would be fine by me, but it's his Dad and they look after the oldies
Jojo I find hairspray, the brutal hurts your hair stuff not nicey stuff, works on marker
serena the squabble is part of the fun, I still do it at 32
sockdrawer it does make you thankful for small things doesn't it, my cousin is in a hotel at the minute because of flooding with a baby due. He's being stubborn and refusing family help
Mazzarati very very best of luck!
MrsChaos thanks, I've got them to issue a refund, problem is now it'll be next year when I get it! No Thorntons or reply to email here either, if it's in a container somewhere it'll have been frozen and defrosted multiple times so don't think I will want it
Poohbear I was in your pretty land on Sunday evening, Westgate, Brotherlee, Hill End all signs I remember seeing. Roads weren't as bad as I thought they would be but still not great of course.
I've been and picked up DS1s presents so he's sorted. Did the sainsbugs shop at 11pm too, didn't need loads as I'm using the farm shop for meat so topped up to the £50 to use a £10 off voucher with a present for his Nana...so that cost me £5 for a £14 dressing gown as it's all I needed to add to use £10 off, another ticked off for tomorrows manic shopping spree.
Didn't manage to finish downstairs off but did get 2 bin bags filled and the DW on with collected pots and cups. Just need to rejig everything and clean tomorrow.
So far DPs Dad and Step Mum might be arriving at 1.45am on Thursday morning (leaving tomorrow at 11am), subject to delays, turning into a bit of a nightmare. Just been in touch and they asked us to get the turkey out. !!!!!! I could really do without having his Grandma at Christmas on our own to cope with, she is a real handful and does her 'funny turns' every time anyone is getting more attention. She can't cope spending too long with the boys but I also wouldn't see her on her own. Then of course transpennine have took services off to Durham so they will need to transfer at York if they get a train, I really hope it makes them think twice as last year was hassle but not this bad! DP might end up having to drive to manchester at this rate.
Oh and it's snowing as soon as I went to the bin, it snowed when I left the house and when I came out of the shops earlier, humph! :rotfl:think I need to hibernateOne day I might be more organised...........

Morning All
Well we've had more snow overnight and I'm supposed to be taking my car to the garage today for 9am. Hopefully that should be a 2 min job providing they've got a couple of bolts as it's a shield that needs putting back on but when I had my car cleaned last week the valeters threw the bolts away when they cleaned the inside. Other than that I've got the Cubs Christmas party at a Wacky Warehouse tonight so I hope the roads are ok.
Mazza - good luck for today - I'm sure you'll be great.
Please can we have no more slips/trips/falls today - everyone stay safe and be careful.
Have a good day all
Hugs

Ahh, sorry, got the wrong wife! Hope they do make it over in time and hope your Bambi incident has no lasting effect. My hip and thigh are a touch stiff this morning but not parrots worthy. I shall jump in the bath now that should ease it.
Have a good day ladies - don't get too stressed about Christmas - it's only a roast dinner with a couple of gifts on the side after all.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
