Monday Mayhem..
- Dust round the whole downstairs
- do a crazy HHC decluttering downstairs
Tuesday - Time's nearly up!!!- ALL DONEFlymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
:eek:Hi, starting two days late this week!!
DSs x3 at home now so the clutter has increased 10 fold. We still haven't put up the tree as the living room isn't up to my standard. They keep telling me to chill.
Today we took DS3 to CAB for his initial appointment and they were exceedingly helpful. Then we had to wait for a 4x4 to get me home as my car can't do the last 5 miles.
I have done something I have been meaning to do for months, registered our mobile phones with the banks insurance dept.
Well done looby_lou!!
mumto5 I hope you are pain free soon.
pigpen, we have two leaky radiators here and have pots under the valves to catch the drips. can't get them sorted now before Christmas as no one will drain the system as they don't want to be cold. I am talking DH and DSs here not plumbers. We just need new valves.
Hugs jojo Sounds painful. I hope you manage to be sorted soon. Bit of a pain it being on your b'day though.
Love and hugs to Toots, Lady_l, Diva and LW . I am thinking of you.
Plan for tomorrow is to finish present wrapping.
Order more vegetables as DH has invited two more people to us for Christmas day.
Phone sister
Tidy and clean living room again and put up tree etc.
Get DSs to deliver cards whilst walking dogs.
Persuade someone to dig up carrots and leeks.
Change my beddingbusiness mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Thank you all so much for your concern and healing vibes. I really appreciate it. There is a pic on FB. Pain is still obscene. DS1 has oral surgery tomorrow so DH is taking him. DD1 washed and blow dried my hair. Feel very meek and lucky to have nice kids.
Bed and drugs now.0 -
Mumto5 coping vibes for DS1 and hubby (mine tends to pass out at these types of things!) I too felt very humbled a couple of years ago after I had a skating accident and the family really pitched in. It's good that they do, and good to let them do it. xx
Wrapping tha morn afore the schools are off !!!Saving up £25000/£3500 by Jan 1st 2012 by selling my clutter. Remember I'm doing it for Dad.
Textiles, languages, travel and a lovely home are not stupid things to want. You have immediate family's support.Appreciate what I've achieved so far. Other people's opinion of me is none of my business.0 -
Thanks for your concern ladies, my physical bruises are quite mild - no need for painkillers - it was the bruising to my dignity and the sheer "you f*g idiot" thoughts that went through my head that hurt the most! It's the awful chagrin of having tripped over my own laces, well, not actually tripped over them, but having got one caught in the door which then arrested my step in full swing that caused me to fall due to the simple fact I hadn't done them up like a good girl the minute I put them on!
There are far more deserving people here who need the hugs and the painkiller suggestions - but thanks anyway - y'all lovely xxxI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

I've cleared all the washing & the clothes ironing
Just a few bits of household stuff to do and I'll have no ironing pile
:j:j Just stopping for a cuppa & watching some of Bridget Jones without ironing, then I'll get on with clearing the pile
I've even put the washing machine on a boiling cleaning wash which I haven't done in months
All the Xmas boxes are now down & I'd forgotten how heavy the tree wasI've promised DD if she gets up early enough tomorrow morning she can do the window before her dad gets here
Doubt she'll be wanting a lie-in tomorrow :rotfl:

Missed what happened Soappie, but glad you're ok xx
Talking of bruises, went out Friday with a friend and took a shortcut home.....up a banking...in the snow!!!! Numerous bruises here, was ok at the time(alcohol, a great numbing agent!!!) but felt them on Sat and Sun!!!!!!
Flying WILL progress tomorrow.......hopefully0 -
Mumto5 - still thinking OWWWW! More gentle hugs coming your way.
Soappie - gentle hugs to you too.
Helenjelly - hope you're feeling a bit calmer now. Grrrrr at people like that!
Ishtar - I agree with the others ... BED AND REST!!!
DH is ill and he's not a man flu sort of person. Went to school concert and he just went white. At one point the person sitting behind him (didn't know him but he was very nice) tapped me on the shoulder and I realised he was holding DH up! Got him outside and he really wasn't with it. Got him home. Very high temperature and shivering like crazy. Parrots seem to have helped. He now admits that 'perhaps he's not well!'. Think he's got what me and DS had only we took regular meds to keep temperature down. Worst thing is......
.....he normally cooks christmas dinner! Hope he's well enough :rotfl:especially as we, potentially, have an extra 5 for Christmas dinner. Two elderly couples and an an elderly gentleman...all neighbours and all adorable but if they can't get to family down South they're coming to us for the meal. If they do come it will be really nice as they're all lovely (dh better get better!!!).
Very glad i'm ahead of myself and I wrapped the children's presents. It could have been a repeat of the year of my op when I realised he'd not wrapped anything at 10pm on christmas eve.
Hugs to all xx0 -
Evening all! Woke up with a headache this morning but after a couple of hours dozing I felt better. Decided to brave the shops and was surprised by how quiet they were - I have finished all my present and food shopping
I now have the rest of the week to concentrate on sorting the house!
Mumto5 - ouch! I can totally sympathise - be very careful and take the painkillers; gentle hugs xx
helen jelly - huge hugs xx
soappie - gentle hugs for you too. Sounds like a nice start to the new job!
AnW - thanks for the message; please pass my love and prayers on to Toots x
