Been racking my brains as to where in Kent this might be - not Salisbury or Sunbury or Sudbury - but then realised it's probably Sainsbury :o :rotfl:

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Sainsbury's it is!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Two more presents just arrived. I've done a few more bits of wrapping up, and am off to have my haircut! See you all later...

Morning all, Rhys slept through last night and got up about 6.30. He's now away back to bed, poor wee thing just wants cuddled.:( We had to do abit of force feeding last night as he wouldn't take anything yesterday, he seems abit better for it and has took his breakfast this morning.

The kids have finally noticed santa is coming soon so their trying to keep their rooms tidy, it's about time. :rotfl:

Plan today is flying, wrapping and a food shop, should really post some christmas cards. :o

Mudders hope your DH feels better soon.

Right gonna get dressed, get dw on, get fire stuff in and fire lit and get wm on. :D
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Cinema trip cancelled due to friend being ill ( I wouldn't mind but she's been ill since Saturday and noone thought to let me know - this has been marked in our diary for weeks!)

DD2 is going to the cinema with friends. I guess I'll just have to hit the ironing mountain!

hugs and spoons to all who need - greenbee - stay strong! I think you know you're right!

    Morning all,

Good luck for your interview this morning Mazzarati - I'm sure you'll be fab, and keeping everything crossed that you do get a position.

Ashia when I was on the sleeping tablets I got the same reaction with the taste in my mouth (almost a metallic taste) - I didn't find any way of getting rid of it as such, but I think it used to fade throughout the day (due to drinking hot drinks and eating). This side effect and the fact that I still felt a bit "out of it" for half the next day was a positive thing for me, as it put me off taking them too regularly. I only tended to take them on a Sunday night (work was causing the nightmares) or the night before I had something important happening (when I would have an earlier than usual night so that the side effects weren't around too long the next day). I know what you mean about feeling better for the good night's sleep though.

Talking of sleep, I've not had much either. We went to a friend's house for drinks and nibbles (his wife cooked loads of those party things and there were dips etc too - we needn't have eaten dinner before we went), and after playing games (family fortunes and blankety blank which was hilarious) with them and their two girls (one of whom, I used to teach), we were up chatting until 1am! Moon and I didn't get to bed until around 1.30am, and I was so wired on coffee that I ended up watching Medium until 3am! I wasn't meant to be driving, as we'd gone in Moon's car, but he ended up drinking (I don't really drink, and wasn't at all last night), so I had to drive his car home. I drove him into work this morning as I was concerned that as he'd been drinking until quite late, that he may still be over the limit. Still, it was all worth it, because we had a fantastic night with great company. We must get a bigger dining table so that we can return the favour.

So, flying then - obviously I've just decluttered Moon to work, but I've also folded and put away a load of washing. Whilst sat at the desk, I've also re-written the guest list for our wedding reception for Moon to look over tonight as we need to think seriously about sending the invites out soon.

I'm off to put another load in the machine, and make the most of the energy I seem to miraculously have before I reach the point where I just crash. My tummy is feeling very gurgly this morning, so I've just drunk a peppermint tea. I'm not really very hungry after all of the food last night, so think I'll give breakfast a miss for a while.

Gentle hugs to all of those with snow-related injuries, and for those who are feeling poorly.

sexymouse xx (ok maybe I'm more tired than I thought - just typed sexymousse :rotfl:)

We've had a light dusting of snow overnight. :( I've had enough of it now and I want all the ice and snow to go away.

X is still coming to take DD out for the day to finish the Christmas shopping. I'm having to give DD specific directions to where some things are as they couldn't find them last time :rotfl::rotfl: I'm wondering if it would have been easier for me to do it myself again this year than trying to explain locations :rotfl:Also trying to keep the number of shops to a minimum as I know X hates shopping and its going to be mad busy. But in a way its his own fault - I gave them a list last weekend he was here and the money but they didn't do it all.

Right, my plan for the day is to finish the washing up, do the very end of the shopping (making sure I have milk & bread and DD's new PJs for Father Christmas coming :o) and the decorations as we've still not put our tree up :o

I'm off to start rummaging through the Christmas decorations so we can try and get out window done before X gets here ;)

    Morning all

We all had a good nights sleep with no alarm clocks set :)

Nothing much planned today other than visiting friends this evening. Going to get the kids to wrap presents for each other in a minute.

Healing vibes for the poorly ones and hugs to everyone.

  • Morning all,
I haven't gone back to work today, cos I felt worse instead of better. I managed to get an appointment at the docs, who tells me that I have a temperature, and has given me some antibiotics. She said I need to rest, but although I can be a lazy mare, I do find it hard to sit still.

BIL and SIL coming later, although I know not when, as the M5 northbound was shut before. Their journey is about 250 miles, so i don't envy them. I'm going to go and put the tv on for a while, and see if I can do some jobs in the lounge. I must find my happy head too, cos the thought of being pleasant all evening doesn't really appeal. Fortunately, we made 2 curries last night, so it's just a case of heating them up and doing some rice and bits.

Hope everyone is having an okay morning. Oh and it snowed here again overnight, which wasn't forecast at all.

DS has made pastry for mince pies, and is now making pigs in blankets (which we'll freeze, as the children eat 100s of them over Christmas ;) ). I'm going to S&S everywhere and tidy :)

Recycling cancelled so good job I did that whilst at Lidl yesterday;)

Just going to update my list then:

    shower
    put wm on
    S&S bathroom
    clean kids bedrooms
All to be done before any lunch is served!

Mazz good luck with your interview

Mrs Chaos - gammon, I'd get it out now, defrost on the counter during the day, pop it into the fridge tonight and then check on it tomorrow morning - if defrosted leave in the fridge and then leave soaking overnight if you soak (I always do) - if not defrosted then I'd leave it on the counter until it is and pop back into the fridge when it is done. You could leave it until Thursday and defrost by soaking in cold water changing the water as it gets too cold. I have done it this way.
