Been out in the car for a quick trip to Lidl and to drop DS2&3 off with DH at the station (work christmas party for kids)

It is mainly slushey on the roads here once you are out of the side streets. I did see a car being recovered which had left the road and hit a sign.

HelenJelly hugs huges for you and your Mum and Dad

Serena love for you and your Dad

Achieved very little today so far, did make the postie a coffee and had a chat and I now know lots like our round does not have a designated postie hence why post is always so late and that they won't leave parcels in this area with neighbours unless it has been written in to the delivery office that they can do so.

This is my window for wrapping so off to do that now.

Two nasty fractures. In plaster from elbow to fingertips. Back to fracture clinic on Christmas eve. It is my right and dominant hand.
    No driving for 6 weeks.
    Very limited flying :(
    Hurts so much.

Is that your excuse for not joining me in a HHC then?;)

You need to put your feet up, take plenty of painkillers, give the kids a list of things to do and make them wait on you! Hope the pain eases soon and you're feeling better. Hugs.

Mumto5 OUCH! Although it does bring back memories of Miss A, she broke her arm on my birthday just before she was 2 yo. We didn't realise for almost a week  cue A&E visit and fracture clinic referral on Christmas Eve! She ended up having it pinned and 7 pots in total, but has no recollection of it at all now :rotfl:

Well barring helping Miss A and W wrap a present for each other and any emergency presents (ie biscuits/wine/selection boxes, which can all be consumed by us afterwards!!) I declare the wrapping season for Christmas 2010 over :D

The only things to do now are distribute, need a list on the back of the front door to tick off and build W's once Father Christmas delivers it on Christmas Eve. Need to rope Dad in with screw drivers and spanners.

Hugs to serena at this time.

Sorry to hear that, not nearly the same but my mum cut her thumb open on Christmas eve a few years ago, it drove her mad that she couldn't do anything. HOWEVER think how much fun you can have delegating all of Pigpen's jobs. You can watch your house become clean without having to lift a finger! Get them in training and you may even get them to carry on after :rotfl:

That must really hurt - huge hugs

Thanks for the messages everyone, Mum safely deposited at the hosp with no incidents this time and picked her up at the top of her road so avoided the roundabout where it is lethal.

Off to look at the list now and see what I've done from it if anything

[STRIKE]breakfast/try to find out if Thornton's stuff is coming today[/STRIKE] supposed to be, but still not here, so I've dug out other things for DS2's teachers
[STRIKE]Load car with stuff for charity shop[/STRIKE] it's still in the car, though :o
market in town (only up the road) - gave that a miss
[STRIKE]buy chocs for staff at DS2's school if necessary
    [/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]school - finish last bit of marking, design/print off assessments and get ready to post out to kids, speak to data manager[/STRIKE] assignments posted :D and data problem solved (for the time being )
call at charity shop - see above :o
back home for 12 ('pigs' and 'fly' comes to mind...) - more like 1.45 :(
write shopping list and fly in LR before school run - shopping list is WIP at moment and flying - well, I've sorted laundry for DH to iron and the rest is on our bed, ready for putting away
[STRIKE]also write cards/wrap chocs for staff[/STRIKE] cards written, but gifts will stay unwrapped

School run in a bit, then costco, dropping DS2 off at home with DH and train to M'hell. DH is sulking, so I'm going by myself. Best way IMHO, anyway. At least I won't have to comment on every single item in River Island. ;)
The hamster wheel is well and truly spinning now and my stomach is reacting predictably by pretending to be a hard rubber ball. At least I've eaten.
    See you all later. x
