I think TC needs a serious shake up
The bands are far too far apart, I find it crazy that if a family earns 20k for example they would get the same amount as a family who earns 39k ridiculous evenDebt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)

I never received any letter but I did get a payment on Fri 24th Dec, 2 days after my usual payment. I assumed it was the next week’s money paid early due to the Christmas holidays.
And sure enough, I never received last weeks payment, the New Year week’s payment, which was due to me on Wed 29December,so looks like I wont get a payment until Wednesday the 5january.
So in my case, I never got an extra week, I got a payment a week early, just before Christmas, which was obviously swallowed up by last minute things, I too have to budget my money so am not happy at this early payment, should I try calling and asking? Im skint now till the 5th! :xmassmile
But if it was an extra week, why did I get no payment last week? Hmmm
Did anybody else get paid early?
PS im in Scotland, dont know it that makes any difference though!0 -

The extra payment, if you are entitled to it, will be a different amount to your normal payment. Most people have experienced odd payments over the christmas and new year period. I was due to be paid on wednesday but my money was showing in the bank yesterday.0 -
I got my usual payment on 31st so if i am entitled to it when do you think it'll be in my bank? I know theres no point calling them because ur always on the phone forever waiting!! The money will come in handy for my babys 1st birthday on the 26th of this month

does this extra payment apply to people on CTC or WTC or both?0

No letter here and no extra payment either.
I get CTC with a severe disability element. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
I claim for both but haven't recieved payment yet although i got the letter a gew weeks ago...0

is there a link of some sort on the HMRC website that could tell us a bit more about these extra payments? If anyone has got a link for us, we would be very grateful.0
